So my grandma was interested in why I'm always playing my 3DS (I was playing Kirby at the time, but she assumed it was Pokemon.) So she asked me "What are these pokemon you love so much? I only know Pikachu." Thus begins the story of showing her random pokemon I had in my boxes. Here are some of her reactions! I recorded them with my phone and I'm going to type them out.
Greninja: "Umm... what is this? Why does it have bubbles on it's arms? eww."
Slowpoke: She just snorted a little bit in laughter.
Gigalith: "Is that a turtle? Spike turtle? Okay."
Ho-oh: "Reminds me of when I raised a duck."
Alolan Geodude: "Where's his legs? He looks like a buff cotton ball."
Cosmog: "Oh. Fluffy."
Lunala: "Doesn't that freak you out? Looks like a bat. Not really... Yeah maybe? What is this?"
Pikachu: "I know him! I know his name!"
Palkia: She scoffed a bit and looked away.
Giratina (Origin Form): "I hate spiders! Eww!"
Milotic: "Snake? Pretty snake? I still don't like snakes."
Magikarp: "Reminds me of a fish I caught long ago."
Rayquaza: "I told you I hate snakes! Why is it flying?"\
Groudon: "Lizard? He needs to see a doctor for that hunch in his back. He must be in some pain..." She proceeded to tell me a story about back surgery. Glad to see my favorite pokemon could be so... educational?
Porygon-Z: "Is he okay?"
Mew: "Awwwwww! I want one!"
Mewtwo: "He looks mean. Not cute!"
Kyorge: She tried to make a whale noise I think?
Tapu Koko: "Cookies for wings?" ??????????
Hoopa (Confined): She giggled and looked at it funny for a few seconds.
Feebas: "Looks sad. Is he okay?"
Necrozma: "EWWWW! Why is it's face all shiny? Is that his face?" She pointed to it's chest.
Tapu Fini: "I used to have hair like that. Just kidding. Long hair is not my thing." My hair is long, and she proceeded to look at me.
Dragonite: "Happy dragon! Is it dangerous?" I responded it can be trained to be nice. "Aww I want a nice one!"
Lugia: "I thought this was a Digimon?" I used to watch Digimon as a kid. Probably got them confused, as I like both.
Zubat: "Is that what's her face's brother or something?" She was trying to say Lunala, but pronounced it Lun-ahhh-haaa.
Charmander: "That's Charizard right? Where's the wings?"
And Finally....
Arceus: "Ouch. It looks... like..." She walked off saying "I hope he's okay." I don't know either.
I love my mamaw with all my heart, but she doesn't get Pokemon. I think Arceus broke her or something? Who knows what went through her mind there.
Hope you enjoyed that! It was fun. If you're curious, I went through my Poke Pelago and clicked on random pokemon wandering around there. That's why they're in such a strange order. Have a good one guys!~
