For what it's worth, I feel you. Your stress patterns describe much of my life.
It's not stress for me, though. It's pervasive fear of anything and everything; fear which I am slowly becoming conscious of. I'm averse to the things I should do, and nervous to think about the consequences of not doing them, with paralysis as the result. Then I retreat into whatever will distract me from the world.
