This week, the gang befriends the minstrel Nando, and Brock gains a new best friend and friendly rival for the Fantasy Stage.
The biggest change (besides obviously taking Team Rocket out) was dramatically modifying Nando's (and Brock's) end game goal. Rather than show up on both the battle and contest routes, he now simply sticks to the remix's Fantasy Stage route, serving as a mentor and friendly rival to Brock. So if you wondered where Brock got his harp and his famed minstrel costume, this is where he got both items.
Brock also takes a lot more of his team along in the remix, but I did drop a hint that his Pichu Tarina stowed away (but Brock doesn't know Tarina's there yet)
Ash does foreshadow the remixed beginning of "Pokemon! I Choose You!" but we won't see the details until we reach Lightning Yellow.
Next time, Ash receives a Chimchar of his own!
