As quoted from Wikipedia about Never Gonna Give You Up and the rickrolling practice in general:

Wikipedia - Never Gonna Give You Up said:
Never Gonna Give You Up is a song by British singer Rick Astley. It was written and produced by Stock, Aitken & Waterman. The song was released as the first single from Astley's multi-million selling debut album, Whenever You Need Somebody. The song was a worldwide number-one hit, initially in the singer's native United Kingdom in 1987, where it stayed at number one for five weeks and was the best-selling single of that year. It eventually topped the charts in 25 countries, including the US and West Germany.

Wikipedia - Rickrolling said:
Rickrolling is an Internet meme involving the music video for the 1987 Rick Astley song Never Gonna Give You Up. The meme is a bait and switch; a person provides a hyperlink seemingly relevant to the topic at hand, but actually leads to Astley's video. The link can be masked or obfuscated in some manner so that the user cannot determine the true destination of the link without clicking. Persons led to the music video are said to have been rickrolled. Rickrolling has extended beyond web links to playing the video or song disruptively in other situations, including public places, like a surprise appearance of Astley himself in the 2008 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York. The meme has helped to revive Astley's career.

Isn't it a bit sad that I got into this 4 years later?

Sometimes, being a bit too curious about certain stuff can end up getting you in a bit of a mess. In this case, well, I like what I have gotten into. I think Never Gonna Give You Up is just as catchy as ever. Teehee... I guess sometimes I'm just coming into things a bit later than usual. Remind me to not look up on Internet memes, especially those involving music videos or anything close to it. Now I'm all the way hooked to that ear worm. "Never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down, never gonna..."

Oh, and by the way, the lyrics to the song are just beside this text - it's to the right of the paragraphs here.

I do understand that some people might not like the song very much. Some people are even irritated by the very song - sometimes, even seeing the word "Rickroll" will send people into fits. I think it has to do with the fact that the entire thing started out as a bait-and-switch... But, to be honest, the song itself is so good, it's... I think I'm going to set it to repeat.

Full disclosure: I did attempt to rickroll chat rooms. Let's just say that people didn't like it very much. Then again, I wasn't exactly doing a rickroll in the traditional sense - instead, I was reposting the lyrics, line-by-line. It filled up the chat pretty quickly. And I think I'm going to feel the wrath of someone that doesn't approve of rickrolls... oh no. Also, I also sent a rickroll to everyone in my 3DS Friend List. Hope no one gets really mad about this!

Let's get back to the song... I have always thought that the song is really catchy. Teehee... Sometimes it makes me want to dance a lot. It seems to have a nice beat going on through the entire song. Hehe... I actually have the song and the music video in my computer, in my 3DS, in my phone, in my... well, just about everything that can play it. I just hope that random people in real life won't mind me suddenly playing that one song in the car or something!

Meanwhile, the music video... it's a huge source of unintentional hilarity. It's now just plain funny. Teehee... It's so cheesy, it's so bad, it's actually good. It's like the good-to-bad scale can wrap around. Then again, a lot of older music videos are probably going to end up being something so memorable not because of its actual quality, but rather because of its lack of quality. It helps that Rick Astley doesn't sound like how he looks. The more you look at the music video, the more you think, "What the...?".

OK, I'll just stop here for now, lest someone that really, really hates the song starts sending hate mail to my email... or maybe that already happened.

You just recently discovered this meme after it was popular 4 years?

You're waaaaay too late into the party. :P Now we mainly focus on Awkward Penguins, Ponies, LOLCats, and "Took an arrow to the knee" memes out there. You should start hangin' with me often. lmao

Though in my end it's still being used, but not as often as before.
