This spring has brought forth lots of changes in the broadcast media world, the business world, and others.

FCC Television Spectrum Auction - Results for Michigan Stations.

For those of you that haven’t heard already, over the past year, many television stations in the United States participated in an ‘incentive auction’, where they would sell their spectrum and sign off permanently, to make room for an upcoming removal of Channels 38 and above as part of Obama’s National Broadband Plan. Now that the auction has been completed, the FCC worked on repacking remaining stations into RF Channels 36 and below (Channel 37 is still reserved for radio astronomy)....

Kmart/Sears - The dismal state of affairs

With the recent announcement by Sears Holdings that they are closing 150 Sears and Kmart stores nationwide due to “disappointing holiday sales”, and will be selling off their famed Craftsman Tools brand to Stanley Black & Decker for $900 million, my mom has told me that she needs to get out to Kmart as much as she can before the nearest store (Clio/Vienna Township) closes, which it will sooner or later. During last weekend’s trip out there, my mom couldn’t find anything in the store...
