We last left off with Lucas annoying our intrepid heroine Lisa... about... something. Time to find out what he wants from us.

Lucas apparently had his Pokedex stolen by Team Galactic, which has me questioning (a) how he let the thing slip out of his grasp, and (b) what Team Galactic would need it for in the first place. So yeah, we have to beat down the two grunts who stole the thing, and maybe FINALLY I can continue on with this quest.

I've technically had her since right before my birthday in October, but then Sw/Sh came out. Now that I've pretty much wrapped up posting about the games, I figure it's as good a time as ever to share her :)

After the most recent Gym battle, I need to accompany the elderly Gym Leader to Hammerlocke.

• Back in Hammerlocke, we run into our old friend Bede. Remember him? The recently disqualified one? Well, apparently Opal takes a shine to his pink overcoat, and in an equal parts amusing and awkward scene, drags him back to her gym for hopefully not sinister purposes.
  
• More explosions but apparently that's none of my business.
  
• Time to head to Route 7. And... crap.

So, I'm trying this update to do a narration style somewhere between "first impressions" and a narrative of the journey. Still going to use bullet points instead of a "fan fiction" type narration.

Yeah, I caved in and bought Pokemon Shield. Also the new Leaf figurine but I'll post her after my Shield run-through.

Before I get to my usual commentary with my unique style, an important warning:
My game crashed while talking to Sonia at the Lab. Specifically it happened as the Rotom phone was popping out, so it might have to do with rendering that in the building.

It didn't crash when I re-talked to Sonia, and no data was erased, but SAVE BEFORE YOU ENTER...
