Summary
The big day has finally arrived when Ash will begin his brand new adventure, but he appears to prefer to sleep in instead. As he and Pikachu quickly jump from the bed to hurry down to meet Professor Oak, he is surprised by his mother who will also be tagging along on the journey down to the laboratory in Vermillion City.

Review
As always, whenever there's a brand new season set in a new region, you are bound to expect a new character to join Ash as he travels, and that's exactly what happens.

I am always eager to observe a new character that I haven't seen before, and know very little about either. The overall appearance, behavior, and goals they expect to meet all play a big role in not only my thoughts about the character themselves but also that part of the series as well. Needless to say, being that I had no prior expectations, the introduction of Go into the anime has been an enjoyable success so far.

It's only just the beginning, there's an entire road ahead of the journey between Ash and Go, and I am eager to find out more.
