Don't panic!

Note: actually Towel Day is May 25th, aka yesterday. I wanted to upload this entry yesterday, but the bus WiFi decided to be shit¹. I'm too lazy to change the text though, so treat every mention of "today" as if it says "yesterday".

If it were anything more serious, I might have reconsidered making a thread on this holiday in Celebrations, but yeah... Still, happy Towel Day everyone!

For those of you who haven't heard of it.. Towel Day is a tribute to Douglas Adams, author of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy which happens to be my favorite book series. Not going to do a full book review here, but his writing style is amazing and if you're a fan of weird science fictional nonsense, I can absolutely recommend it to read. Not only that, but the very towels from this series have formed a major part of my inspiration of the craziness revolving fishing rods in Pokémon Choice Quest (and probably even the weirdness of that story in general).

So yeah... I just went with it and carried a towel² over my shoulder for the whole day and somehow only one of my friends bothered to ask "Hey, is that a towel?"
Given the widespread 42 jokes on the internet (yes, that also comes forth from this series)... I can't possibly be the only one, right? Any of you joined the fun today?

Lycan out. And remember folks, one should always know where their towel is!

1: I could have seen that coming, it is over half of the time. I'm not even exaggerating, I tallied it for a while. I though it was doing better lately though, but nope...
2: After not using my towel for half a year or so the holes in it have magically grown in diameter from about 5 millimeters to 6 centimeters. The random acid or whatever got onto it has quite the nasty aftereffect, not sure whether my poor towel will make it to Towel Day next year. :(
