2012 brings new things to discover as well as uncertainty about the future. It also brings more of that 2012 doomsday BS that has been running rampant the past few years, despite common sense and scientists actually proving that the predicted Mayan doomsday will not happen! But that still doesn't stop idiots like Discovery Channel, History Channel, Patrick Geryl and other morons from continuing to shove their doomsday shows and books down our throats!

Since the world will end in 356 days from now (we are in a leap year, so we have the 29th of February), I've decided to have my own fun with this "phenomenon". Don't worry, I'm not going to talk about how the earth will suddenly reverse its magnetic fields or anything like that. I lack the intelligence to make sense of that stuff.

The reason for this title if I'm not going to talk about 2012? A certain 80's song that critics think is probably the worst song in history.

The end of the year is the loneliest time of year...

With Christmas gone and New Yera's Eve on its way, everybody is probably excited that the end of the year is coming and are probably going to celebrate. As for me, I'm glad 2010's over. It's been another dull year with nothing good happening. I'm expecting the same for 2011.

Right now, I feel very lonely right now. Offline, I don't want to be around people unless I need to. Like going to my brother's house to see my nieces tear open the Christmas presents. My brother says once they get up, they go right to work on the presents. I never had anything like that. My parents told me to go back to sleep. I don't know what I'll do for New Year's Eve. Maybe I'll hang around PC or something.

Online... I just feel so lonely right now. I know that whatever people I VM are too busy with family and real life things to drop by and leave me a little something. Lucy's off in New jersey with her family, I know a few other people in my friends list are busy to reply. I don't have many friends in real life and I already promised that I wouldn't bug anybody until the new year.

This is why I hate the holidays. I feel like a little snowflake that's been drifting around with nowhere to go and ends up in the river, melting away.

And it's not helping that I'm listening to Foreigner's "I Want To Know What Love Is". The song popped up in my PSP just now. ><

At least you're not sick and sporting cold sores. That's always a great way to end the year.

If you expect the same for 2011, then you wont get anything different. Really, if you don't make an effort to have a great time then you shouldn't expect opportunities to just fall into your lap. Sure, they do do that sometimes.. but most times you have to work at something to happen.

You could always try VMing new people and making some new friends.. but I don't think you should hold any grievances towards people who are busy and are attending to their own personal business. I mean.. come on, people can't cater to a website all the time.

Try making an effort to do something fun. Maybe post a blog saying that you want to host a skype conversation on New Year's Eve since you're not doing much.

I'm not saying all this to be negative.. but I really want you to help your situation. I have my own family matters to attend to since I have to go over to my grandma's house for that evening since she's basically in a wheelchair and can't come here to my house with internet.
So.. sometimes you just have to make your own plans. Sure maybe you can't/ dont want to spend your New Year's Eve with friends and family that you know, but you can always try spending it with an attempt at making NEW friends instead of spending it alone.

    Hope this helps.
