This is going to take some getting used to.

Whenever you get a new piece of technology, you'll spend a lot of time getting used to how it works. A computer, MP3 player, video game system and so on. And thanks to my Christmas money and an impulse buying trait, I'm now in that same boat tonight.

After a few years of thinking about and major indecision (seeing Sigmoni's last few blog entries helped), I finally went ahead and bought myself a computer drawing tablet.

I bought a DigiPro WP5540 5x4" USB Graphics Tablet w/Black Cordless Pen. I got it for a very good price. It's not a Wacom, which is better, but this is a good one for the price I paid. I'm thinking about using it on my XP computer only because everything is closer to me than my setup with my Vista computer in my room. I use a wireless keyboard and mouse because the PC is at the back of my room and is connected to my TV. So, I have to use a wireless mouse and keyboard. Plus, all my usual USB ports are all used up on my Vista computer.

I put in the drivers and everything already and I only fooled around with it for a little bit. I can tell you right now that using this thing will take some time. The pen acts like a mouse as well and the working area is like my screen. The working area is also small so I have to use fine movements when using it.

This will be a totally different experience for me.

Wow. That is pretty cool. Now you be able to draw on your computer. You have fun with it.
