It's been a few months in the works now, but I have decided to follow some of my friends into retirement as a PC staff member and Super Moderator, effective on Monday, 5/23. I'm at a point now where i've been graduated from college for a year now and I'm 9 months into my full-time job, and I simply don't have the time like i used to, and when I do have time, it's spent on IRL friends and family, muky adult things like laundry, getting gas, etc., as that comes first. Not having much time nor energy the past 8-9 months has taken a toll on my PC presence and my overall experience as a user, not just as a staff member, and I'd rather not draw out a slow, painful exit like many have before me, and I'd like to leave with dignity and make a graceful exit. Many of my original circle of close friends here - Twilightblade, Razor Leaf, Abnegation, Went, Forever, Morkula, etc., etc., have moved on, and while I still have some dear friends and people I greatly admire here on Staff and in HQ, it doesn't feel the same to me as it did in say, early 2014-early 2015, and it hasn't for awhile, not since the Summer '15 drama episode and coming off my DLoA last fall.

I did what I planned to do when I joined here nearly 7 years ago (!!!), I joined for the DPPt events legends, which after obtaining I proceeded to VM myself with sheer glee (Got Arceus!!! was one of the better ones), I became a supporter and a moderator, I put a lot of time and effort over the years into at first, the Trade Corner and my shop, and then from mid 2010 on, into building what is now The Round Table. I finally made Higher Staff and became one of the oldest tenured staff members as of writing this post up, and I'd like to think I helped oversee and contribute to a great and consequential period in this forum's history.

I've seen a lot here, from early Trade Corner shenanigans with the likes of Twilightblade, Kirozane, Air Pichu, Omicron, etc, (Creating a massive 5,000+ Trade Thread) to some dabbling in the competitive battling scene when HGSS first came about (That one time I beat Dark Azelf in OU) to finally heading to an oft-maligned and misunderstood section called Other Chat, and the rest, as we say, is history. I got to know some great people and some not so great people, had great times and not so great times, and had a many late night mukposting on the staff Skype with Mork and Klippy, on the various IRC Channel(s), the PO Server or Showdown with some other really good people, haha.

PC's seems headed in a bold, new and different direction, we have some really big things cooking in HQ, in addition to PC 2.0, and we need to match that with bold, effective, and enthusiastic leadership and foresight, which is why I'd really like to advocate for user Castform to replace me in HQ and help out the likes of Ludger, Klippy, (Killpy) Mana, Sheep, etc., and Ausaudriel going forward.

I think i've said what's left to be said, and while I'll miss working on staff and in HQ with everyone, I think this is for the best, It's time for the young guns to take over and fight the good fight. I'll still be around some and peek in when I have some on my days off when I need something to do or when I feel like I need to post another political thread in The Round Table. ;D

    I'm sure I speak for Nah too when I say we'll keep trying to do you proud with RT. You were an inspiration as a staff member. Best of luck with everything you attempt in the future.

    I'm so gonna miss you... because you were probably one of the longest serving Round Table mods, and still looked over the section after you joined the higher-ups.

    And hmm Chase for smod... we'll see if you called it hahahaha

    One day I'll look at the staff list and I won't recognise anybody and that's a scary thought. I know we didn't end in the best of terms, and I do regret some of the things I said, but at least I want to say now that it was nice having you around back when I still had fun being a staff member.

    Hope everything goes well for you here on forward, mate.

    Same goes to you man. It didn't end like I would have hoped, but even still, you were the best S-mod/Admin PC has ever had in my book. This was forever ago, but you gave me a post comment when I was first in Other Chat, in a political thread, and I was pumped because I kinda had a "senpai noticed me!" moment. I wish you the absolute best, and maybe one day when you're the Spanish PM and I'm president, I'll throw you a state dinner at the White House, haha.
