Since I've basically started over on this account, and now I have a blog again I might as well use it, and start it off by rambling about Sun and Moon.
E3 reveals just happened, and admittedly, when news about these games first came around, I was like "eh", because ORAS and X and Y left some things to be desired, aside from pretty graphics. Though, S&M (why, god) look a lot more exciting so far! Seems like it'll have interesting characters, and would build up to an interesting story from the looks of things. The location and environment also feels like it had a lot of work put into it. The fact that the Pokemon staff repeatedly travel to new locations just to research for Pokemon games always impresses me, and the Hawaii based locations, themes, and animals will make for a really vibrant game. Not to mention the awareness for endangered species.
They also revealed Battle Royals, which both look really cool, and also look like getting the hang of it might be a pain in the ass - but I'm willing!
The one thing I'm harping on is the fact that battles were made to be easier, because it gives away what moves are Super Effective, and etc, but I find that there's some fun in slamming a Pokemon with a move that you don't recognize, just to see how strong or weak it is. BUT THAT could just be me and my "BACK IN GEN ONE DAYS..." mentality kicking in, and I try not to let that happen too much. Whatchu gonna do. I guess if it'll make it more fun for even a few people, that's good, but eh.
