There's nothing to be scared of, well...

There's something that I really want to do...

But I don't have the guts to do it.

I really, really want to do it this weekend. It's basically a goal.

Ugh, it's so frustrating because I've been wanting to do it for awhile now. Once I gather the courage and pep talk myself into doing it I always chicken out the second before I get ready to do it. I've tried to do it multiple times in the past but it has failed each time. I feel like the Cowardly Lion and I just don't know what to do about it. I'm not going to mention what it is that I want to do but I just want to get passed it. I know everything's going to be fine... maybe but this hesitation is really getting in the way.

I don't know how to get passed this fear of whatever I'm feeling.

I don't know what it is that you're talking about, but when I find myself in a situation where I'm scared to do something, I just take a deep breath, say "screw it" and go with it. Just make sure it's not something stupid or dangerous xD

I'm starting to get that "screw it" mentality.

Just ask her out, man... what are you waiting for? Why bother living in a fantasy wondering? Go for it.

Yes it is. You're just scared of rejection and scared of having that hoping come to an end. If she does like you she'll eventually just move on if you dont make a move.
