The Year of the Monkey.
I can picture right this second, trying to figure out what this entry is going to contain and unfold into. What I can tell you is that it has NOTHING to do with Monkeys or the Chinese New Year. If you're still curious, continue below!
So far, 2016 and the buildup to 2016 will highlight an alarming similarity between myself and a monkey. We have both been fairly easygoing and fairly blasé about our long term plans, so to speak. We're happy to just chill out and do the same ol' thing everyday.
However, moving forward this will be changing.
With it being - relatively - towards the beginning of the year, I will be looking to get myself out of this rut in which I am in the same old boring loop day in and day out. Essentially it's been a bit of a.....Third-life Crisis (?) where I've come to the realisation at 25 I've not done a whole lot and I've passed by so many opportunities! As I get older, these will definitely get sparser! So here's to spicing things up a little!
How I plan to do this however.......now that's a different ballgame. I know for a fact that having it like a New Year's resolution thing is just not a good idea and won't work for me at all. Generally they turn into something like:
So I decided on mini-bucket lists instead! 4 per year, 3 months to fulfil the 6 targets on each one. Now they could be something small like redecorate a room or buy some clothes, but then also they can be BIG - like booking a holiday, booking a concert or attending a festival!
