Fourth of July

So I'm walking down the street, going to see the fireworks show that's gonna start in 30 minutes. It's almost dark. People everywhere are setting off illegal fireworks into the air which are exploding only around 30 feet from the ground. I see one go up, pop. A minute later another one, bigger pop. Then I see one waaaaay too close fly over my head and hit a house fifty feet away and a big puff of smoke start to billow off the roof. I go right back and see if anyone is hurt, if I need to call the fire department or anything, but already I see the people next to this house out with a hose spraying the house down and putting out any chance of a fire.

I lost faith in humanity and then regained it a moment later.

Yes, at least half of the human race has a single-digit IQ nowadays.

Then again, that's why I like watching 1,000 Ways to Die: So that I can make fun out of these type of people.
