A Really Out-of-Nowhere Headcanon about Socks

Okay, so... Why does Sycamore wear such weird socks?
His outfit is really well-coordinated, and he's known for being a savvy, fashionable guy. So why on earth would he wear socks of that color with that outfit? To some people it may be a minor detail, but in the professional world socks can really affect how good (or bad) your outfit looks. These socks are way too colorful and don't match Sycamore's attire at all.
So why? Well, let's think about the colors associated with Sycamore's best friend.
Here's what I think. There are two possibilities:

Here's what I think. There are two possibilities:
- This one is only applicable if the next main-series game we get is a third version or sequel to X & Y. It could be a subtle hint that Sycamore was aware of Lysandre's involvement with Team Flare all along and that he himself was also a member or otherwise associated with them.
- The socks could have been a gift from Lysandre that Sycamore wears because of how important Lysandre is to him (and as we all know, only the evillest of villains give socks as gifts).

The bit of them that isn't in shadow seems to be quite bright; I myself never paid too much mind to them since they're mostly covered but I can't help but feel they're just incredibly mismatched with the cool blues and purples of his outfit (which is mimicked in his hair and eyes).Quote:Originally Posted by machomuu

he looks like a part time scientist and a single dad. notice the bags under his eyes. he most likely doesn't have time in the mornings to be as fashionable as his friend lysandre. he most likely shops in the 70's section at goodwill, i mean let's take a peek at those low rise ankle jeans and his disproportioned collar. he most likely picks out his clothes in the dark, let's just be happy his shirt is on right.Posted February 25th, 2016 at 5:02 PM by dad
