If you didn't vote for Clinton, I hate you

Posted November 9th, 2016 at 3:49 AM by Ivysaur

I don't care about your reasons or whatever your argument is. You are personally responsible for this. Whoever you are, I hate you and I wish you the worst in these coming four years.

Every person who did not vote for Clinton is responsible. You didn't turn out? Your fault Trump won. You voted for Harambe? You own Trump. The only way to stop him was voting for Clinton. You didn't? You are responsible for every single thing Trump does. Full stop.

If you didn't vote for Clinton, you are to blame for Trump becoming president, and therefore everything he does in these coming four years. That's what I said.

As much as I generally hate the "if u didnt vote u are p much satan" rhetoric, Went is literally right (tw: heavily biased y-axis, here's a fair version). The Republicans have no more votes than they did 8 years ago - Hillary just has less. Either she alienated 5-10 million previous Democrats (easily possible), or they just didn't bother showing up to vote. Either way, Trump has done no better than any other Republican and despite the lack of improvement in the number of voters, he's ended up President. The loss is down to those who didn't vote Clinton.

I don't really like placing the blame on people, per se; I place it on the electoral college. Those charts clearly show that Clinton would've won... were it not for the college. Basically, if Floridians don't like you, you've lost. we really do have to rid the college from the system.

In other words, Trump was right: the system's rigged. Just not the way he thought. But even a broken clock is right twice a day.

However, having significantly more of the popular vote- especially in certain states- significantly influences the electoral college, so there's still a hell of a lot of blame on those who did not vote Clinton. Yes, the system's a mess, but there is no excuse for voting anyone but Clinton when you know that a dangerous bigot is the only other person with a chance of winning.
