You can never really leave what you love. Or at least that's what I still tell myself, and love that I do.

Fourth of July. My girlfriend and I go to a barbarcue at our friends. We arrived early and our friend Ryan had to go out to get some extra supplies, and he tossed me a green gameboy to pass the wait. Pokémon Blue was inside, which happened to be my very first game. It was a rush of nostalgia unlike any other. So many memories... Picking Charmander on my sixth birthday. Who could...

Crazy as I may be, I'm back at going for 200 in the Battle Arcade. This time on HeartGold with the team that got to 175 on Platinum. It's been smooth sailing thus far, which feels familiar yet scary in a way. Had a surprising challenge with Dahlia at 49 (let's just say Togekiss got about seven crits and some change), but managed to pull off a 1-3 comeback there with Salamence. Cruising along toward 70, I come upon game 5, #68. The board flickers Aerodactyl, Tyranitar, and Medicham. Nothing too threatening...

Well, just got to North Carolina and sorting things out, I think I'll be able to get things done and come back. (or at least that's the plan) I saw the seven new Pokemon yesterday and I'm going nuts. B&W look like so much fun.

If that gator has yawn, you can sure as heck bet I have a new battle frontier buddy. XD

As far as life goes, left Florida for the summer with a bad taste. Ya'know, this summer is important. Some new perspective by living with my father and......

Black & White have already lost, thanks to history and the past failures of Pokémon

Posted May 13th, 2010 at 1:23 PM by BeachBoy (Feelin' Fresh)

I'm diving into murky waters here, but ah heck.

Based on the pains of the fourth generation, the (majority thought) "worst" generation, people jump the gun to say that Black and White is going to be horrific and terrible. I don't think that's the right kind of thinking we need with these.

Yes, I didn't like fourth gen either, and it was very disappointing, but I won't let its performance or reactions affect my thinking for the fifth generation. I feel like...

The introduction of the silhouettes has me pumped. The one with the swirly tail is probably grass, the fire-type is the skinny one, and the water-type is the ... blubber-y one? haha, idk.

I find these announcements and their reactions amazing. The thoughts of a pokémon fan is simply intriguing (and hilarious) to me. Kyogre forbid we don't get the world with our cake.

For me, I've completely lost all hatred towards the companies involved in the creations of new generations...
