This episode got majorly rewritten--since Turtwig now belongs to Barry, Ash now gets Chimchar as his Shinou starter, mirroring who I started with when I played Diamond. This will also affect his relationship with Paul, as you will see next time.

So I just got back from a screening of Love, Simon. And I'll admit, there were a couple of moments where I got close to crying and a single moment where it all drew together and I shed a few tears. The biggest change (besides obviously taking Team Rocket out) was dramatically modifying Nando's (and Brock's) end game goal. Rather than show up on both the battle and contest routes, he now simply sticks to the remix's Fantasy Stage route, serving as a mentor and friendly rival to Brock. The teams were dramatically shaken up in the remix. Ash does not have Aipom in the remix (which in turn meant that his storyline could be cut), and Brock has a lot more Pokemon with him in the remix (including the Pokemon that replaces both Bonsly and Happini in the remix. At this stage, Brock does not know that this Pokemon has come with him to Shinou. This will be one running gag until...

I worked on this game for a couple of summers and it was great fun. Sadly, I never got to finish and have more important things to do.
My goal was to make an internal pokemon game where you could catch/obtain all pokemon one way or another (either with an event or very low encounter ratio),
visit first three regions and battle more people in a challenging way (added 30 levels to emerald 'final' league).
