Just now I found out that one of my favorite bands, My Chemical Romance announced they've broken up today. (Source ) I'm truly devastated. Trying not to cry but it's hard not to. While I don't listen to them as much as I used to neither am I as big as a fan as I used to be back in their Danger Days era, they've still meant alot to me. No one here really knows this, but back in 2010, I happened to really like their new song at the time "Na Na Na" and still do to this day. On December 28, 2010, when I went to go to their official Facebook page to like them, I discovered something that was odd to me. On the page was a whole community of fans who were just talking and making random posts about everyday things. It confused me cause you don't see that everyday, a bunch of people posting on a Facebook page about random thoughts and such. So out of curiosity I ask what was going on and why people were just posting random things on a FB page. I also said it's stupid that people were using MCR's official page for that and of course many people called me a hater and troll. Eventually someone explained that the MCRmy (or MCR fans) just like to hang out there. I thought it sounded fun and joined community. Then after that I started coming to the page to talk to the MCR fans and interacted with them. I'll admit I was far from a big fan of the band at the time, but being on the page made me listen to them more and more and I started becoming a big fan of theirs. These fans known as Killjoys at the time were becoming my close friends. Sometime in February of 2011,the official Facebook page went through an update which caused some fans to move from the official My Chemical Romance page to a fan page known as The Lurkers of the MCRmy. Originally the page was created for people who would lurk the official page and just liked other's posts or post only occasionally. Though many people disliked the updates on the official page , they were yet to be implemented on The Lurkers page so most of moved there. While some people didn't care either way and stayed on the official page, I went with the people who moved to The Lurkers page.

Through The Lurkers of the MCRmy, I continued to interact with My Chemical Romance fans. I'd talked about what happened in school, songs I liked, Owl City, MCR, other bands I liked, Pokemon, or anything everyone else was talking about. I even talked about news on Black 2 and White 2 there and other new Pokemon games including the recent news of Pokemon X and Y. About a year and half ago, the official MCR finally decided to block users from posting due to the amount of inappropriate posts the people who stayed were making. It was horrifying. Many users making sexual and macabre jokes , Making pages just to post , and acting like band members just for the fun of it. It was making the fans look bad so they just decided to disable fans from posting. Though the Lurker page strives even to this day and while it's not as active as it used to be, people still come and post and I still do too. These guys have become my second family right next to my friends on PC. They've listens to me talk about Pokemon, all the news about BW2 and X and Y. They've helped me get through alot. They were there for me when my older brother made me feel like crap and treated me like dirt. I'm very thankful for the MCRmy for so much and it's because of the band, i have had a chance to meet them. So while I'm not as much of a fan of my MCR as I used to be, I'm very thankful for the family they've given me. So long and good night My Chemical Romance. So long and goodnight.

Thanks to anyone who read all of that. I just thought I'd share my thoughts.
