I appreciate you mentioning that. I will make sure I visit previous gens this week, and more often in general, and give it some tlc. I'll bump a couple threads, or start new ones. I like coming there anyway, since older games are more of my thing. So it's definitely worth a post from me, if you feel it might help out in any way with activity. Like you mentioned, things go slower on forums these days, but hey, we're still here, and that's no small feat. I think things look fine all in all too for 2022. Glad to hear that you also think things are mostly getting along alright. <3

A little more activity would be nice, but forums in general aren't getting quite the levels of activity that they used to (though the fact that PC is still going decently well despite that says something). So things are more or less alright.

You are right about that. I'm amazed by some of the darkness in gen 1, murdered Pokemon with ghosts haunting the tower, gambling, a peeping tom in Celadon city, trainers who carry whips. The pokedex entries are so out there, cubone wearing his dead mother's skull, parasect essentially being brain dead. Though I guess the Dex entries are dark in all generations, mandibuzz eating cubone, yamask carrying the face it had as a human, gengar killing people to make companions according to Moon. Its fascinating what gets through the censors I think. Pokemon is more complex than many people realize, which is why I love it.
