As long as there's a Dr. Bill food or beverage as well! (Never seen that before, haha).

Merry Christmas btw! =D Screw the time zones!

Is this what we can call you once you get your PhD?

Is it bad if it becomes a "thing"? But it needs to be used for relevant occasions...

Well, there's Jesus' birthday coming up. And now I'm imaging baby Jesus with a party hat and all.

Is that emoticon going to become a "thing" now? :[

    Thank you!

Yay for finding a game! I haven't played Harvest Moon nor Rune Factory, although I have heard of those games. Adventure Island 2 rings... a very vague bell name-wise. Probably know of it from my friend who knows a heck of a lot about games.

I think the PLxAA game released a year or two ago. Here it's still remained at a high full price every time I had seen it. AA games are also good for their story and characters. Every so often Capcom does do eshop sales and they have the AA trilogy (first three games) as an option, so that's something to consider. I'm fine with puzzle ans will likely go for completionist for that game. =)

That gif is amusing and I can see why it reminds you of that story, haha. That was a fun one to write.

It was a good thing that you told me about checking the 3DS eShop when you did. Because while I didn't find SMT4, I did find Rune Factory 4 on sale, and bought that because I wanted to try the series. I've been a fan of Harvest Moon (which is the farming side of Rune Factory) since the first GameBoy game, and Rune Factory combines that with an RPG system with stats.

I just haven't played it yet because I also bought Adventure Island 2 on the Virtual Console, and that's a game that I've been trying to get through for years. So it's easier now with save states.

I'm surprised I haven't heard more about the Professor Layton/Ace Attorney game yet! That was so hyped up when it was announced. Now, I didn't even know it was released. I haven't played any Ace Attorney games (heh), but I have played the first three Professor Layton games. The stories are really the best part about those games. If you're going to go for a completionist run of them, then prepare yourself for a lot of puzzles. But I do recommend them just for the stories.

Also, I saw this and thought of a story you wrote once, speaking of Ace Attorney.

That very thing had came to mind when you mentioned you were playing it and liked the fourth wall breaking and humour. I had to not-spoil it, haha.

Of late, it's been a turn-based game called Shin Megami Tensei 4, because my friend was playing it and seemed to enjoy it, and it was on sale for $13 in the eshop, incredibly cheap for a full-length 3ds title here. And it is pretty long! It's also hard (or maybe just more unforgiving at times and at others just dumb-luck hard), and weird. Maybe somewhere halfway through it rn.

It has demons which you summon in battles (or otherwise fight) and to get them on your side you have to... talk to them and play random q&a games mid-battle. If they like your answers and you give them some stuff, they'll join you, if not they'll murder you. And sometimes you give them stuff and they'll just bugger off! They're very rude. =( And you can fuse them to make stronger demons. It's fun overall. Idk if it's dirt cheap over there (or has been).

Before that I re-beat Shovel Knight (it has a free dlc mode which is basically another take on the game with a different character and playstyle!) which is very fun imo. 2D platforming with a lot of dying involved and fantastic music. And before that was the Majora's Mask remake, which was also good fun.

My next game on the 3DS will be the Professor Layton/Ace Attorney crossover game which i got from some friends as a belated birthday present! I've played every other Ace Attorney game and certainly recommend those. Haven't played any PL games though.

Oh god, I snorted in laughter. :[

Also, thank you for not spoiling me about one of the fights in chapter seven of SPM. It's the one with the Underchompers, where the battle screen looks like an old-school RPG. I enjoyed it so much, and I'm glad that I could discover it on my own!

Speaking of gaming, what have you been playing on the 3DS? I need some on-the-go games myself and am always up for suggestions.

    Woo! Well done!

Also well done in getting more written and edited as well!

Super busy is right. At least a lot was the good kind of busy! It has meant rather little playing of M&L on my Wii U, been more on-the-go 3DS gameplay instead. I may try and play a bit more before Xenoblade X comes out this weekend and consumes my life. :V

Pokemon symphony was really good! Quite enjoyed it. A couple song choices were not what I expected but I was quite glad for others.

Observing was done with a radio telescope through my laptop! Clouds were fine for the frequency we used, although storms less so (too strong winds require the telescope to stow :<). But we didn't have too many interruptions. I had a look at the data from my bonus observing and now can say I have a tentative confirmation of a tentative detection! :V (I'm more positive than that however, haha).

Bowser is great for hurting stuff in the game, haha. Especially with stat boosts for boss battles. =)

Marcin I'm telling you because you're like the only one that cares but I finished my big fanfic project that I've been working on for two years!

I really just needed some time off from work to figure out the last five scenes, and I scribbled out the first three. The last two were still giving me trouble, so I went back and started editing older chapters.

And then wrote four pages of the next big project.

But today, I just sat down and powered through those last two scenes. And now they are done!

Also, your month sounds like it was super-busy. Though a part of me is jealous that you got to go to the Pokemon symphony and got to do some more observing. On the few nights that I have the time to go outside with a telescope, it's either really cold or cloudy.

I did like chapter six of SPM, mainly because of the motif of the world. Though the kind-of boss rush did get annoying, but was easy thanks to Bowser. I haven't had the time to play anymore though.

You and me! My busy month became very very busy and only now I'll have time-no wait I won't because weekend doing stuff with friends as belated birthday/post-exam celebrations. Including going to a Pokemon orchestra concert. :B

Part of my busy-ness was self-inflicted because I applied for bonus observing and got it with a telescope despite already helping out, so I went to ~24 hours of observing or semi-active 'back-up' observing out of 48 hours. :V And then there was a hailstorm at the place I was housesitting and hence cleaned up after, then a conference, then a workshop... and that's just the last 7 days, I was busy before that too. All the busy.

Bugger about the words not coming with your remaining scenes. Good luck with forcing them out! If you haven't yet maybe just put those plans for those scenes to paper and if so flesh them out slowly with more detailed dot-points?

Cool with SPM. Yeah, Luigi talks in TTYD as well (and is pretty darn amusing actually with that). In Sticker Star he's purely background just as a 'find him' challenge in specific levels, which is less entertaining... But here he has the whole Mr. L thing going on too! M&L gibberish is amusing to listen to, as well as how he says 'thunder!'... I also like how he strikes a pose when using that power, heh.

And what did you make of chapter 6!?! (I think I'm remembering the numbers correctly anyway). (!?!?!?)
