    Thank you. New York was fun. Times Square felt like a sea of people. It was my first time ever going to New York and overall it was a nice experience. Before I left, my family had gotten sick with a strange cold. My sister is concerned and decided to get a covid test. (hasn't come back yet). I haven't been afflicted as of yet. In New York they check vaccination cards in most places.

    Oh. I did get Poken Tournament and Dragon Quest 8 for my 2DS. I have no idea of anything about Poken, but Dragon Quest is my favorite franchise of all time. I bought my mother a minnie mouse pillow from the Disney Store.

    It's okay. The person got my gift. I'm relieved now. I'm eager to see what I receive, even if it's something tiny. I haven't yet, but that's okay. I have hope that it'll come.

    Happy Belated New Years. I don't know if the New York celebration would air in your location? I did get to play chess with my older brother. He's leaving soon (sadly) but it was very fun playing on a real board and not a computer screen. I won a game, but he's certainly the better player. He's 20 years older than me and has way more experience. It's always a bit lonely when he leaves.

    Zach sent you a PM a few days ago about this! Can you check it when you have time? :D

    Welcome back!! \o/ And yeah my mom told me it's very busy there now again, last time I was there it was very quiet. Must be so surreal to think of it being extra crowded all over again like COVID never happened. what a cute pupper too, hehe

    And omg awesome! The Nintendo Store is small but it's really fun to be in there, I love looking around. Enjoy UM when you start it... I want to replay it again a lot all of a sudden myself. Alola is a lovely region. ;w;

    Let me pass this onto Zach. If the deadline is January 5th then it's still too early to say for sure, the person could still be working on it (when I signed up a few years ago I was a few weeks late since I was busy, but I made sure to let the person I'm gifting know that), but since the deadline isn't here yet, try not to worry too much! <3 I'll double check the thing with a person getting signed up for 2 gifts, maybe it was due to an uneven amount of participants.

    Do love train rides yes. :D One of the most relaxing things ever, unlike flying which just sucks...

    I'm back from New York. It was a brief 3 day trip. It was fun. I don't know if it would be dumb to send pictures, because you already know what New York is like. It was hard to stop for photos because it's so busy. My dog was very happy to see me come home.

    I played Alola before. I never played Ultra Moon. We went to the Nintendo store in New York. My aunt actually bought me a $40 Ultra Moon download code. It was a very nice gesture.

    I haven't really gotten anything yet from the Secret Santa again. I know the deadline is January 5th, but I'm not really expecting much. I made a game for someone, but I guess he was gifted by another person because he acknowledged that gift instead...ouch. I spent many hours on it. I'm not participating in this anymore. It just causes me anxiety and hurt feelings. Honestly, I wish I never signed up. I'm glad it can make other people happy though.

    It was a 4 hour train ride. I found a book I liked and it passed the time.

    Just want you to know I've been on vacation so I haven't been able to check my messages too quickly!! so sorry for slowness ahh
    It's been going well so far, about to head out to nearby grocery to buy food for breakfast tomorrow and then a Korean food restaurant for dinner ~

    she's so cute!! I love her too. The owner of the bed & breakfast hotel we just got out of had a really pretty golden retriever too, he was so fluffy and sweet. :'D

    Alola is lovely!! One of my favorite regions too, I always support getting the games. Maybe I'm forgetting (sorry if we mentioned this, my memory is bad) but did you never play Alola before, or just want to buy a different version to one you had?

    And yes I am \o/ I understand not being too interested in postgame stuff for the games, they're not for everyone, but I like trying to do them anyway just to get more of my money's worth. Plus it's Pokémon so I am addicted. fufu

    I don't know if I've mentioned it, but I'm going to New York after Christmas. It's a brief trip around the state. I've never been there so it seems like it'll be fun. I hope your trip went well. Safe travels to wherever city it was. The covid situation has gotten bad in our area. The hospitals are full. People aren't taking the shot either.

    I have a dog too. I uploaded a video of her. She's very sweet. I love her.

    Since beating Cynthia, I have not touched the game. I have a habit of not doing the post games. Gen 5 had a fun post game and I liked the Emerald battle frontier. I might get Ultra Moon. Gen 7 is one of my favorite generations and Alola was one of my favorite regions. It does get a bit tiring watching something you loved get berated endlessly. I don't feel this way here, but sharing appreciation for something that is generally disliked can be a bit scary. You know how the internet can be.

    Are you going to play the post game?

    I haven't beaten the E4 yet either, been too distracted with FFXIV ;w; But we're going on a trip tomorrow around cities/towns down south here, so I'll probably have more time to play then since the internet won't be good enough for MMOs like FFXIV lol

    I hope she likes her gift!! it's nice you got something for her ~ I'm sure she'll like it :3

    and omg. Such a cute kitty. I miss mine so much, but she's with my parents back home, she got so used to our house that I felt bad dragging her on a plane with me. But maybe when we find a place to live permanently (this is just a 3-year job contract) I would take her along. :D

    congrats on beating Cynthia!! Do you think you'll do the post game stuff like catching legendaries?

    I beat her. I lost and went through the elite four so much that my team got way too high leveled for her. It's funny because Dialga wasn't used a single time. There was never a time I needed it.

    I can't beat Cynthia. My team is just too frail. I keep trying but it's not working out. My strongest is a level 68 Blissey. I'm guessing you may have finished it?

    It's more relaxing this way. The entire purpose is that you can take as much time as you want on each move. I'm a very slow defensive player. Often when I play live games, it goes to decision by timer. The game doesn't have to last for months. It's basically "log on when you feel like it and take your turn". If that makes sense.

    I went with my family to a mall. I got this for my mother. Slightly worried that it's not a very good gift. I tried. It cost $20.00.

    Amusingly, while typing this, across from me our cat is on a box. She's a good kitty. Nearly 14 years old. We've had her for most of my life.

    Yeah... I still wouldn't. I've still also read horror stories of a woman who apparently had like 8 contacts slip behind her eye, she came in complaining about eye throbbing/pain and when they took xrays they found that. Like, what?! I don't care if it doesn't happen often, it's still terrifying. ;-;

    Glad you two are having fun with that ^^ It's always so much more enjoyable to play with people you know! Months for a time limit is pretty crazy though, but I guess not everyone can go online to play daily. For a game that could last that long, I'd be super excited to finally see who the winner is at the end lol.

    And we won't be shopping much this year. I already got a present from partner and he said he only wants a plushie and some books, so we'll probably get that after the holiday shopping busyness dies down lol. Our families live too far away for us to buy things, and shipping them out at this point will take forever. So holiday wishes will do! My family also never know what they want, we're not really the gifting types ahah. Good luck with your shopping, hope it went well!!

    And omg, a random Palkia?! That's pretty epic. I hardly ever get legendaries from random trades :O Did you manage to beat the E4 yet?

    It's interesting. According to google "The thin, moist lining of your inner eye, called the conjunctiva, prevents a lost lens". I still wouldn't put on contacts. Sometimes I all asleep on a whim, so I would risk infection. This avatar couldn't be more fitting, honestly.

    I don't know what I'll do for a gift this year. I'll figure something out. I'm currently playing Daily Chess with roni. You log on periodically and take your turn. There's no time limit and games can last from weeks to months. Neither person needs to be active at the same time. It's very fun. I'm glad you speak so fondly of FF14. I don't necessarily enjoy the Final Fantasy series that much, but I keep playing them. I don't know why. I don't know anything about 14.

    Are you going Christmas shopping this year? I'll be doing it tomorrow. If I don't find what I need in the stores, I'll do the rest online.

    Oh. Someone gave me a Palkia today while I was trading randomly. Another person gave me a Squritle. And another person gave me a Dragonite. It was a very lucky day for me. I had an extra Jirachi, so I traded that away. I'm at Victory Road. I got lost and ended up back at the start. I also ran out of repels.

    I can't even imagine how people can fall asleep with contacts in. I have a huge phobia of them slipping behind my eye or something, and even thinking about it a little is enough to make me cringe. oof. And I had no idea there were classes, that's interesting!!

    A game?! Wow!! That's some dedication even if it didn't work out.. I have never tried that. :O Congrats on the gift too, seems like you're going to enjoy it a lot. \o/ It's so nice to see how dedicated to chess you are ~

    Aus is very similar to America I think, there are rural, urban, and suburban areas, etc. I live in the city and it feels very similar to being in a US city, except people have different accents lol. Would never want to live in a desert-y area, I would be scared of dangerous animals ;__;

    Haven't finished yet, I still need to beat Volkner. FFXIV released a new expansion recently which has been taking up all my time ;w; hooray for catching Dialga!

    I never noticed the feeling on my nose. I notice every tiny smudge and it gets annoying trying to always clean them. Did you know in some places it's required to take a class to put in contacts? My sister took it. I do know that it can cause infection if you fall asleep with them in your eye. After my surgery, I had to wear an eye patch.

    I decided to sign up. It's understandable, motivation is a big deal and it's better to sit it out if you feel like it'll be forced. I'm not a talented artist. In 2019 I tried making a game for someone else but it was stressing me out. It can be difficult to find something other than a drawing, but I like trying to go slightly above and beyond. Speaking of gifts, my older brother sent me a gift online. He gave me a $50 yearly platinum subscription to So I can play unlimited puzzles and get unlimited reviews on my games. I'm going to have so much fun with it. ^_^

    I don't know anything about Australia. I wouldn't expect it to be noisy. I imagine it as a desert land. Thank you for the picture. It's insightful. I lived in a similar neighborhood, but only for 1 year. Have you finished Brilliant Diamond? I reached Victory Road. I added Dialga on my team. I know there's a stigma against legendaries, but I also think we should play how we enjoy it. I simply like dialga.
