April 10th, 2016 1:50 PMIncinermynErf, sorry for such a late response...busy month and I forgot about PC for a bit here... >_>
Yeah, Nintendo's systems and have always been my faves. I just don't like the notion that I obligedly /have/ to change if I want to keep up with any of the so-called "good games" anymore... I've always had limited interests, so I don't take well to being pushed into other things just because other people tell me I'll like them...
I'd have enjoyed challenge mode again too. Actually, I don't think I ever finished White 2 or Y for that matter... I just stopped playing them for a bit and forgot about them... >_> I should dig them out of my game drawer soon and pick up where I left off.
I think my issue with PSMD is the fact that I felt like it was oversimplified and didn't give me a reason to keep playing. I want to get back to it, but have no drive to lately... Coincidentally, I haven't gotten around to starting EO2 Untold yet either, despite having it for months. Lately, I've been idling with my games as I continue to try and get better at drawing in my downtime... I showed you my FA gallery lately, right? -
March 20th, 2016 5:52 PMwaveguidebuizelSome indies are pretty well-done. I know I've enjoyed at least one and plan on trying another eventually. Though I don't have a Steam either, and I pretty much play Nintendo exclusively. The 3DS is my system of choice now, and I'm very happy with it. :)
I love taking my time to explore game worlds at my own pace, so I know that feeling. Though doing that definitely made ORAS way too easy for me. Adding a Challenge Mode would've been nice, I think. I guess because of these preferences, my favorite main series games are Black2/White2.
I do love PSMD though; it's the most difficult of the PMD games and requires some thinking (or preparation) to get through some places. Disallowing you to go out and do your own thing is something I came to accept. I like that it prevents level or item grinding, limiting item preparation and leaves you to rely on your wits more. Though I suppose you've had worse, seeing as you've played Etrian Odyssey, haha! :P -
March 11th, 2016 9:38 AMIncinermynSuffice it to say, I've never found any that I actually enjoyed... Pardon my language here, but Indies are always so half-***ed that I can't stand them. I avoid them like the plague nowadays. It's why I hate it when people ask me for my Steam when I don't have one... >.< I guess I'm strictly a old-school console gamer in that effect.
Also, yes, that's exactly my issue with both PSMD and ORAS. IDK, I liked Pokémon better when I didn't feel obliged to rush through unless I wanted to. The games were already easy enough with minimal challenges, but now Game Freak's essentially taken out what little bite there actually was and pushing you through without reason to even explore anymore... I know they're kids' games, but WTF? When did /that/ become acceptable for Nintendo games? -
March 8th, 2016 2:29 PMwaveguidebuizelOkay, I definitely remember the blood-draining scene now that you mention it!
You despise indies? Why is that, if you don't mind me asking? I haven't really thought much about them, so I guess I'm pretty indifferent towards them.
I actually thought that ORAS was kinda ehh comparatively. I had fun with the main game using a completely unevolved team of eight (it was still too easy for my tastes), but haven't delved too deeply into postgame. Super Mystery Dungeon though, I loved. Though I guess it's a bit biased, since I have sort of an unconditional love for PMD games. :P I'm guessing you're not a fan of the story pushing you along and not being able to do your own things? -
March 7th, 2016 7:49 AMIncinermynIt kind of was, actually. I requested that one Doxisite pic based on the intro to chapter seven, where he does that same thing (though I describe it as him draining the Rattata's blood and then throwing the carcass away to show his ruthlessness).
Yeah, the artist who did that Apollo pic is a good penpal of mine on FA, but he's not around much these days. On the one hand, he's home-schooled and prepping for college. On the other, he's got a couple projects of his own going on, including an indie RPG he's working on where you play as a living inflatable. I love that concept, but I despise indies...well, not his, but everything else...
I haven't been too into gaming lately since I felt like I got burned out on ORAS and haven't even completed Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon because it's so boring to me. I miss the older games. There was more to do and more reason to keep playing... ;_; -
March 5th, 2016 4:59 PMwaveguidebuizelWell then! :P I think pooltoy Apollo's pretty cute, though. And the Doxisite one would be something I can see happening in the story.
-
March 4th, 2016 6:33 PMIncinermynYeah, in the same way Pyra can turn you into an innertube: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/19002094/ Or Apollo is stuck as a pooltoy: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/15956380/ Or Jay got turned into a dragon plush: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/16063377/ Or Chip put on more than a few pounds: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/17130097/ But Doxisite will still eat you alive: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/19277155/
.................this is why I'm not on DA or here much anymore................. @[email protected] -
March 3rd, 2016 4:33 PMwaveguidebuizelOh okay, so it's non-canon. Haha, I couldn't see how that would fit with the tone of the story!

March 3rd, 2016 5:12 AMIncinermynSomewhat... Not within Dark Nostalgia, but for use in RPs. :P
-
February 29th, 2016 7:17 PMwaveguidebuizelOh this was actually a serious change? Haha, didn't expect that at all!
-
February 29th, 2016 4:13 PMIncinermynYes, it is! I was going to keep his huntsman form, though.
-
February 28th, 2016 6:37 PMwaveguidebuizelAhaha, well that's a change! :P

February 28th, 2016 7:24 AMIncinermynYeah, I'm kind of putting them off yet again... I setup a PayPal, but haven't used it for anything just yet... I want to start both doing commissions and getting them done too, but I'm in no hurry for either. Also, I've kind of bolstered my activity on FA and lucked out to get some things done for my older characters... Remember Orion from Feral Twilight? Not such a tough guy anymore... :3

February 5th, 2016 9:26 PMwaveguidebuizelProbably a good idea. I imagine commissions can get pretty stressful.
-
December 18th, 2015 4:38 PMIncinermynTrue, but then my workload has started to slow down once again... IDK, I think I am going to give up on commissions for now and just stick to requests atm... It's just simpler and there's no consequence for not finishing something I offered to just do for free. :x
