Oh that's a shame. Then I hope you can eventually use it in a new hack where you can delete the old files.

Alright, I see what's wrong now. The problem lies in...the hack applier. For some reason it doesn't do anything. That's really unfortunate, because I won't be able to add this feature to my hack as I would have to erase all events. Thank you for help, though.

Also just in case here is a link to a cleanly patched version where I have the script at 0x800000, the first hex edit at 0x810000, and the wild data at 0x8100C0, along with a givepokemon person event so that you can check if its working.

Check it out and see if maybe it helps.

I just tried it with the hack applier and nothing happened...
I tried again with a clean rom, patched it with the cleaner, and then with the 1.1 engine and it worked, so try on a fresh copy and it should work out.

On the one I use for testing I'm pretty sure I used the ips of 1.0, then patch with 1.1 right after, the tools had glitches for me so I don't really use it.
Sometimes different hex editors do things differently that's why I wanted to see the screenshots, that and I'm not positive I explained the process well enough yet.

Hm...Did you patch your rom or use JPAN's tool for insertion? And yeah, I'm on 1.1 patch. I'd show you my hex edits and script but I don't think there's a point as I basically copied everything you wrote.

Yeah!! that happened to me too!!! the sunflora appears and you feel like you're so close yet so far hahaha XD
Post your script and a screenshot of the hex edits you did and I'll look for anything that could be causing it.
Also make sure you are on JPAN's 1.1 patch, since that could maybe be it, and also that you patched correctly (ran his cleaner first then patched).
And no problem bro, I'm here to help, I have tested it out and I have gotten it working, so just let me see how you did it and I'll find a solution :)

Thanks for your time and patience to explain it to me but...it still doesn't work. I did everything exactly like you. Two things happened though. First, when I applied the special 0x58 and Pokemon data Switchers by hacked routine applier, then nothing happened. However, when I patched my rom with JPAN'S Ips file, an interesting thing occurred. The only pokemon that was present in the grass was...a Sunfolra with random levels.
Are you sure it works for you? I'm 100% positive that I followed every your step and did everything accordingly.

Ok first thing add this script in:
    Spoiler:
    msgbox @change 0x2
    setvar 0x8008 0xXXXX
    setvar 0x8009 0x08XX
    setvar 0x8005 0x0
    setvar 0x8006 0x1
    special 0x58
    release
    end

    #org @change
= I'll change the pokemon data.

replace the X's with the offset you want to use, for example 123456 the first two numbers go in the 0x8009 and the last four in 0x8008.
    Example:
    Spoiler:
    0x8008 0x3456
    0x8009 0x0812

Then use a hex editor, I use Hex Workshop, but any will work and some are simpler to use.
find the offset you replaced the XX's with, and add 15 00 00 00 YY YY YY 08

The Y's are ofcourse a new offset, let's use 8210ab and place it in reverse, so the YY's would now be in order ab 10 82 making the final change to the XX's offset be:
    15 00 00 00 ab 10 82 08

Then the final hex edit is at the YY's offset which we used 8210ab, there you will place the data of the pokemon you want.
Send me the list of what pokemon you want there and the levels and I'll give you an example of how it should be written.

I know these are just the example from the post explained again, but hopefully it has a bit more detail to help you catch something you may have missed.

Also just in case... Make sure you talk to whoever you gave the script to, to actually activate it.
As far as I know it will only change the current map's pokemon so if you go to another map it probably won't work.

Hey, it's me, the guy from your tutorial thread. I checked the first post, but I still can't get this to work. I did everything the way you explained but nothing happened. No freezing, no strange wild pokemon, nothing changed.
