    Does Nate have the notetag with something like "<battler name: Nate Backsprite>" in his notebox? As for the battle sprites it's set up with two sprites. One is a single frame of the animation, while the second is a strip with a width that is a multiple of the first sprite, which then is used to determine the width. You can add a battle pose for Pokémon, but it'll require a bit of scripting to do as you'd have to restore the original Yami Holder's battle script and then readjust the elements of the script.
    As for the questions on game mechanics, I do like to create new systems, so let me know your idea.

    Hey there CN, I am a major fan of your VX Ace scripts.(It's hard to contact you via RPG Forum). However, My head is spinning to figure how your starter kit Ver. 7 works.(TBH I love your Battle System in Ver 7 more than 8 and 9) When I tried to fight Hugh, Nate's Backsprite didnt appear on the screen but instead his charset appeared which is weird.
    I tried to figure out how to fix it but to no avail. I also wanna ask you how did you create multi-frame battle system where the pokemon idle and can I add a battle pose for each pokemon? I am not a scripter but I can create some graphics. One more question,(Sorry to bother you) Do you like to create a new Pokemon system and game mechanics? Because I have some Ideas that I want to share with you.
