Yeah NY state and NY city are different places! NYC is a city in NY state. NY state is a huuuge place with a lot of different places, a lot of them are fairly suburban/even rural.

And yeah... it's odd. The city here is less safe because it has more crime/begging and etc. Definitely wouldn't want to walk there, or anywhere here in SA honestly, at night. We always uber home if we have to be out past sunset.

shdhdh I wanna play Sky so bad. I heard it was great but also very sad. Hopefully it doesn't make me cry lol

I'd just keep going! Promise it does pick up, but not on the same level of the original I think. Korra is a bit more focused on the emotional/romantic aspects (but there is still a lot of action). Starting over doesn't make much sense to me if you don't wanna go through the early eps again. Push through!!

I was playing Explorers of Sky and made Skitty my partner. It's interesting because Skitty is genuinely very strong in this game. It gets doubleslap, and for some reason each slap is treated like a full power move. (You can see how that would break things). Sometimes boss fights end in a few seconds.

That's a bit odd to me, because I'd imagine the city would be the safer place. Being more populated and everything. Do you consider NYC to be a safe place? Also this is about to sound really clumsy, but aren't new york and new york city two different places? I remember being confused about "Virginia" and "West Virginia". I never understood why not just make them one singular state.

I'm thinking at this point maybe restarting The Legend of Korra. But the beginning was also really slow. I'm stuck in a loop of wanting to recap the show but not wanting to sit through all the episodes again.

okay this one is also perfect I love skitty sooooo much

yeah it's pretty different. SA has more trees and nature and overall healthier air than NYC, by a long shot. I would never live in the city center of South Africa because it's...honestly not that safe, but outside it there are many nice suburbs that are safe and have good walking paths etc. NYC isn't all crowded either, my area of NYC (Staten Island) is more suburb and has a lot of trees/a beach too. looks a whole lot different to Manhattan ahah

    There goes the Spinda.

    I'm way too indecisive.

Thanks! Spinda is one of my all time favorite Pokemon. I adore it so much. I think it could be fun to play Hoenn with 6 Spindas.

I don't dislike my island, because there are certain spots I'm fond of. (Like, I built a nice waterfall). I'm sure yours is nice. We are our own worst critics. Have you tried out the new update? I think they added a bunch of new Mario themed items like warp pipes. I actually tend to always keep my original starting villagers because I find them sentimental, so...Mira and Poncho are staying.

Is it different from living in the U.S? I've seen pictures (oh dear I almost typed pikachu's). of south africa. It looks like a concrete jungle city to me. My family has talked visiting New York when we all get our vaccinations and can go safely together, which sounds really fun. Probably just for a few days. I've only been to New Jersey, never New York.

I'm not a good artist. My album sort of show cases that, however I think I'm better at sketching. I like pencil sketching animals from time to time.

    Marina is so cute!! <3

and yeah some people are incredibly talented/patient with decorating. I really want a pretty island like that but doing it one tile at a time is so exhausting and slow. I wish Nintendo made it a little less annoying lol, people have begged for it for almost a year now since the game came out, but they don't tend to ever communicate with their players much. oh well :( and yes Kid Cat is a jock! he is too cute and has been a fav for me since New Leaf ~

yeah it's summer in South Africa atm. not as hot as australia but can still be hot enough sometimes lol. and we don't have AC in this flat, just a fan. next place I'll definitely make sure we get it because summer can be gross otherwise.. same with winter, all we have for that is an electric blanket for the bed ;_; lol

good luck!! I admire you for doing stuff like that, I just haven't had much energy still, even for drawing which I used to do weekly x.x

I forgot to buy them this week. I've noticed some people get really creative with towns (like going as far as making a turnip farm area). My stuff is scattered. Like I have a random amusement park place in the middle of town, and a dinner, and a house area. I'm hesitant to change things right now. Are you happy with your town?

Ohh you have two very popular villagers. Raymond and Marshal. Mine are Jerimiah (my favorite ever), Tipper, Groucho, Julian, Marina, Poncho, Mira, Lopez, and Truffles. I've never heard of kid cat but that name sounds so cute. I get the impression he must have a jock personality?

Yeah that makes sense it would be hot. Do you have opposite seasons over there? Sadly I'm finally starting to stagnate in chess. I want to hit a rating of 1,000 as a personal goal, but i'm middling in the 600's. At the same time, I'm very proud of progress over the last month anyways.

ugh yeah. I think it's so you don't end up buying too many of them that you make insane amounts of money. they probably wanted somewhat of a deterrent so they made you have to drop them on the ground :( grats on 5 stars!! did you do the festivale event? I forgot to

I currently have Judy, Dom, Kid Cat, Marshal, Rosie, Raymond, Lucky, Midge (she needs to move ahhhh), Stella, and Poppy. love them ;o; I get feeling bad if they leave but we just don't have enough slots, having someone new move in seems so fun.

well clearly you're doing something right w/ chess! that's cool!!! I need to get back into my hobbies other than gaming, but it's been hot here where I am and that makes my mood a lot more lazy. when it cools down I'll definitely get back into stuff too. kick those people's behinds at chess ~

Oh I heard they were doing something with avatar. Don't know if it's a new series or something, just that they were expanding the world of it.

Thank you for the information, pretty sure tomorrow is turnip day. Also I dislike how you can't place the turnips in storage, so you have to litter them somewhere. I don't know if I mentioned it but my town did reach 5 stars. Which villagers do you have currently? I've had the same villagers for a while because I really don't like letting them leave. (even the ones I sort of ignore).

Oh I heard they were doing something with avatar. Don't know if it's a new series or something, just that they were expanding the world of it.

So last time I mentioned how in chess I went from bottom 2% to bottom 11%. Now I'm nearing bottom 25%. My rating has been shooting up really quickly...I didn't do that much besides watch youtube videos.

    happy to answer!!!

The way I got money was buying and selling turnips from Daisy Mae who shows up on Sunday morning. She can sometimes sell them for super cheap (90 bells per turnip is her cheapest selling price, so buying from her if she's selling for 100 or less is a good idea) so people would buy a ton of them, then find another island (can use ACTurnips subreddit) where the Nooks are buying them for a lot of money (400+ bells per turnip is considered really good) and visit with a full inventory to sell them. You can make insane money that way. Downside is, since turnips rot after a week, you'll definitely need to look online for people who have Nooks buying them for a lot or get lucky with the buy price on your own island within that week. Can't just keep them around for weeks until you're able to sell them ;o; We had people in our AC group time travel looking for good buy and sell turnip prices, so my group just visited to sell them when they found the Nooks buying them for a ton per.

Aww I love it. so cute. I would love to theme my profile because it's really just blank, but...laziness. Also reminds me of a couple years ago when I bought the trading card game off virtual console. I think it was a gameboy color game. I actually had lots of fun with it.

Uh random thing to ask, but how do you get money on animal crossing? Because a year later, I still haven't even come close to finishing my house debts. I just fish but can only get about 50,000 per trip. (and it takes over an hour). Tried the turnip market this week, with little success. The prices were so low.

I do have my limits. I'm more tolerant of video game gore because it looks less realistic. But when I see something like a decapitation in a movie, it does make me wince. I do like some Stephen King films, such as Misery and Children of the Corn.

I definitely do. it's tough... I really hope I won't have to go there again anytime soon x_x

not really a cliffhanger or...well.....kinda? you'll have to see. it's something that came out of the blue for me, but apparently they didn't really have time to expand on it

OMG good luck aha. I love watching horror stuff but god is it terrifying to sleep at night after xD

Exactly. It's also a place of 'discontent'. So much negative energy from those places. Not sure if you get the same thing? But when I'm going through days of anxiety it'll almost always result in dreams of uncomfortable places. (Such as hospitals, elevators, my old house, etc).

Ohh that sounds interesting. Does it end in a cliff hanger or something?

Also felt like playing a horror game so I started Silent Hill 2. Honestly I'm almost never scared by movies or video games. I would like to see what it feels like, so this series is probably the biggest thing I've tried so far.
