To avoid that, you have to turn off voice chat. You do this by pressing X inside the Wifi room. :p

Not that it was a problem for me though, I liked the HG/SS music in the background :D too bad i'm not getting SS in a while because of this country's stupid postal service -.-

No.. but it doesen't really matter at all. Just use whatever pokemon you want. If they're not level 100, they automatically become level 100 in wifi.
