Okay I admit I really enjoyed what I played, and already started craving more. So I purchased Torna. Hope it's as good as the base game.

I'm just glad you had a good experience! It's one of my favourite games ever so I'm happy to see people enjoying themselves with it.

I finished it. On the final boss, I died the first time because my chain attack left him with a sliver of health, and he one shotted my party. Second try, I lost on the first phase (somehow). Third try I full burst overkilled him. Loved the voice clip of shulk and loved the ending. My party was rex, tora and nia all level 69, zeke and morag benched.

Well it was fun. I don't really know you, but hey it was fun sharing my progress at points. take care.

I would put Xenoblade 1 in my top 10 JRPG's all of all time. Maybe even top 5. I was born past the 90's, so it's been fun having such a giant library already available. I've finished Chrono Trigger, FF6, FF7, FF10, FF13, the entire earthbound trilogy, tried 7th saga but dear god it's more grindy than dragon quest 1, which I actually finished.

Well, fantastic, then the start of Chapter 10 will be A Thing :D

Indeed! he does. Nia and him are my faves overall.

Yep, I finished Xenoblade 1 last year. My first experience was with the definitive edition because I could never get a hold of the Wii version. I tried getting 100% completion, but gave that up around Valak Mountain.

I'm going to play the prequel, but not immediately. I just hit 70 hours in this, the longest I've ever spent on a JRPG when I'm not even going for 100%. I will need to let it rest a bit.

On a random note, Malos has an excellent voice actor.

Pretty much. Chapter 10 is 90% plot. The remaining 10% is BUILD YOUR CHAIN ATTACKS OR ELSE.
If you haven't... may I recommend playing Xenoblade 1 as well if you want to fully understand it.

The combat system seems okay now that I understand it, but it does annoy me when I've chain attacked with two elemental bursts, have the enemy down to a minimal amount of health, and they pull out some new overpowered move that one shots my entire party. I find it unfair, and it's made me consider turning the game to easy.

Anyways, I'm at the chapter 9 boss fight on top of the tree. So almost finished, I think.

It's only a fetch quest. If you send 90k, you can unlock a new quest that will have you visiting every titan and talking to someone in each! There's some exp and cash at the end waiting for you, not a bonus ending.

Am I supposed to be sending money to the family of Rex? I noticed I can do that in the trade guild, and I hope I'm not screwing myself out of a good ending because I'm ignoring this feature.

Also I just noticed I can level up my field skills through the affinity chart. I can't believe I missed this. Not as bad as Xenoblade 1 where I didn't realize you could level the monado arts until the end of the game.

I've done every side quest possible, aside from 6 of them which are impossible because I don't have the field skills. Yeah I feel like the big moment was Chapter 3. I don't mind goose chasing Bana around, (because it's amusing having a napon villian) but in the back of my head I'm still waiting for that next thrilling moment. So glad I pulled Boreas as a blade, he is my absolute favorite character. EXP is pretty easy, I get that from grinding merc stuff too.

Oh yeah I absolutely love hearing about this stuff, so go ahead and shoot out any stories if you want. I'm not entirely sure I understand your analogy of throwing a hand grenade, but I think your trying to say you let out some much needed frustrations to the staff forums?

(I'm going to add that I have way too many colourful admin stories- it's admirable how better and tamer PC got ever since I left while throwing a hand granade at the staff forums)

You're getting close to The Fun, then. Now it's when the adventure picks up and, frankly, sucks you up in a big rush. I suggest you start doing any sidequests you want by late chapter 6 - as soon as it's doable in chapter 7.

I think I caught on to what you meant by "you have to use the chain attack at some point". I made it to the chapter 5 boss, and the only way to kill the powerlines was with a chain attack before spike damage started.

I'm now on Chapter 6, and I'm swapping out between Rex and
    Spoiler:
    Zeke

They fill the same arch type, but the guy I just mentioned is 10 levels higher for some reason. Spoilers are in case someone is reading this and is currently playing.
