Oh for me, it's more geopolitical concerns. Russia is just generally very aggressive, considering what it's doing in the Ukraine as well as Georgia. The impression I get is that Russia, if given the chance, would be willing to expand territorially and that is plainly a scary aspect. They also seem to be back far-right movements in Europe as well as the US - whether they do it for its own sake or simply to generate enough instability or potential friendships in order to back their territorial aspirations, it's obviously highly confrontational.

The only other major country that might be considered a threat to the US would be China, but even then they're not trying to recover lost territory in Vietnam, Korea, what have you (putting the South China Sea disputes aside, but obviously not the same kind of open conflict as in Georgia and Ukraine). And to my knowledge they're not actively backing a political horse in the US political system, let alone destabilizing far-right movements.

Rights violations by Russia are bad of course, but the way they go about trying to change the world order, is to me a lot scarier.

You know, this is kind of embarrassing for me to admit, but I'm not too familiar with the modern indictments people give Putin and Russia that makes Trump's communication with them a big deal.

I hear about human rights violations by Putin and suppression of the media, but is there more to it than that? If you can find me a good primer or give me a nutshell that would be great. I need to be more on board with this issue.

32 for individulism, 23 for collectivism. I guess I'm more individualist than collectivist, but I don't mind a little team effort every once in while.

25 for individualism, 34 for collectivism. I guess individualism and collectivism can be better described not as two ends of one, but as two separate spectra. I value both my individuality and community, but community more than the average person, is what I'd take away from this exercise. What do you get?

Haha I'm afraid I'd be biased And it is very complex. I don't like boiling geopolitical conflicts into tl;drs because I'll probably end up butchering it.

The most immediate events are protests all over Ukraine over the President cancelling a EU trade deal and corruption. President Yanukovych ends up leaving the country, gets impeached in absentia and an interrim government is in power, making some changes which I don't quite remember. Anyways Russia invades the Crimea, and now their parliament have voted to secede from Ukraine and are having a referendum on the 16th about the same issue.

    I'm sure I missed a lot.

Hey, you seem to be in the loop judging from the topic. If it isn't too much trouble, can you give me a summary of the situation with Ukraine and Russia? I'm afraid I've been out of the loop.

Oh, God, I feel like that all the freaking time. XD I somtimes listen to other genres as well, but most types of music played on top charts in the country I don't really listen to.

You listen mostly to metal eh (iirc)? Do you ever feel out of touch with a music scene? Like stop listening/downloading for a while and then feel like a hermit when there's this song that everybody knows but you haven't heard.

Funny, I do that usually except when it comes to music. Music I sometimes pay for, sometimes download. It depends on my mood...and my finances.
