I played a bit more of Lets GO at my friends place and a thought occurred to me that GF/TPC left a golden opportunity to troll players with Green(aka Blue). I know they modeled his team after the manga but man could you imagine if they did the world theme with him and he sends out “Pachirisu”? I would die from laughter while simultaneously flipping off the screen lol.

Sword Evolutions already buff Special Attack, and to a degree, Speed(although in Garchomp's case, a nerf to speed). Shield Evolutions would be for Defense and Special Defense in particular.

A new theory I have would be that Armored Evolutions would provide a unique perk such as greater protection from Critical Hits, acting like +2 or +3 stage buff to Defense/Special Defense or protection from Weather and/or Status Effects depending on the Pokemon.

PS: If Meltan is interwined in Galar's history AND Galar was the one that fought Kalos in that "war", that would be a way to shoehorn Kalos characters into the SuMo anime. Maybe not Serena(like 99% of XY fans want) but perhaps Zygarde, Greninja and perhaps Clemont and Bonnie(even though they got their own XY special with Clemont).

that's.. actually a really interesting theory, and may even lend further speculation to what a third series game might look like. If there is indeed a third game, it could come in the forum of a speed buff or a "special" buff. The whole "branching evolution" idea is definitely a little.. samey though.

Been reading gobs of speculation regarding Generation 8 and one thing that I'm finding is that Mega Evolution will be in Generation 8 but with a twist. If you've looked at past Mega's, the bulk of the buffs have been on their Speed and Offensive stats. What does that benefit? The Sword.

In Generation 8, they're going to add secondary Mega's to existing ones or simply add new Mega's to Pokemon who lack any to begin with and call them Armored Evolutions or Mega Evolutions focused on Defense(aka the Shield). Its an interesting concept but smacks of Digimon if I do say so myself.

Oh and Meltan has something to do with the "Armored" Evolutions and the region's Legendaries from what I've been reading. Makes sense that they'd be adding Meltan for not only Generation 7 but setting it up for Generation 8.

After looking at the Movie#22 trailer, I can't believe I have a more favorable opinion of a Live Action film in Detective Pikachu than I do of Movie#22. Like seriously, either Detective Pikachu has managed to pull it off or Movie#22 is that bad and I'm leaning the latter. Granted the latest trailer does give Ryan Reynolds the Oscar for best performing caffeine-addicted mouse.

Seen the latest Detective Pikachu trailer? Over 10 million hits in a day. Has Mewtwo in it too(smells like Movie22 push).

I think hell has frozen over with the addition of the Plushie Club. I think its a fateful sign that ye are fated to post your Pokemon collection at some point. Be it the Merchandise thread in General or the Club itself if you opt to join it ^_^. Only plush or stuffed animal I have is Baloo I got from Disneyland during my Grad Night trip. I had an old stuffed animal from my childhood(I was 18 months when I got it) that I retired about 3 years ago. Called it Puppy Dog but I cherished that thing... no ears and everything from all the abuse I gave it lol.

Then what’s stopping you from posting them, much less your Pokémon merchandise? :t037: It is time you put everyone to shame by posting your vaunted collection(even if it’s just your Spirit Animal).

I do! I specifically collect Star Wars LEGO ship sets (I think I have 6 now), figures of General Grievous since he’s cool af, and a few smaller things like magnets and keychains. Also got a few shirts. :) But it’s nothing too too crazy lol.

Hmm still awaiting your merchandise collection but part of me wonders if you have a Star Wars collection. Personally I don’t have one but my family does have a small one from way, way back in the day. We bought an AT-AT(those weren’t cheap back in the 80’s), a Millenium Falcon(I think lol), and a few of the figures. What exactly we have, much less their condition I don’t know but we had a lot of Star Wars stuff when I was young, including your vaunted Tie Fighter.

So out of curiosity, I decided to watch a bit of BotW and my first impression is that its Windwaker on steroids. Has fewer Dungeons or "Bosses" that yield Heart Containers, leaving the rest to be "Heart Pieces" via Spirit Orb's obtained through the 120 Shrines. Each Shrine varies in terms of difficulty and while it's a nice change of pace, there's far too much repetition, particularly in the Divine Beasts. To 100% BotW is long and tedious, with the Korok Seeds really giving Windwaker vibes. Reward for collecting them all is underwhelming but unique though.

What I did find interesting is that they rehashed OoT with the Mipha x Link in BotW. Mipha's character is definitely nostalgic for those who played OoT as it reminds them of Princess Ruto, but Mipha's more palpable due to her relationship with Prince Sidon. The DLC content really tugs at your heartstrings too and its coincidence that two Links get out of having to marry a Zora Princess. Other thing that got me thinking was how Zora grow/age. If what BotW chronicled happens to be true, then Ruto should have still looked like a Child in OoT as an Adult unless she undergoes extreme growth during those 7 years lol.

Anyways, time for Lutin to make another move in FTE.

I never played MM. Before you gawk in shock, it just never appealed to me, although I hear it has rave reviews. It looks to be a “Dark” game like Twilight Princess and those games just don’t appeal to me. Even the Well/Shadow Temple in OoT gets to me at times. As for OoT, the vast majority of child secrets can be obtained while getting other main tasks. It’s just the rest require Bombs, Boomerang or Rupees to get. As for Adult, it’s pretty much Poe Hunting, Biggoron Sword, Dampe, and Gerudo Fortress(Archery Range and Ice Arrows). People who’ve done 100% Speedruns have organized them all into a specific order that takes efficiency to its limit. What blew me away when watching this 100% run was how he handled Bombchu Bowling. I struggle with the damn chickens but he would simply use the sides to great effect and go around them. I couldn’t do that even on my best days and this was on a 3DS lol.
