I actually wanted to post LPs on my channel, but I need to sort out my setup first.

And I'm also not confident in my ability to entertain, but hey, it's worth a try, right? :P

I don't think you need to play Armageddon to understand the original timeline. Armageddon was a fanservice game Midway made because they had financial difficulties and thought they could go under. After they made MK vs DC, however, they got a boost and reformed under Netherrealm Studios, and made MK and Injustice.

The games relevant to the original timeline IIRC are MK1 and 2, UMK3/MK Trilogy, MK Mythologies: Sub-Zero, MK Gold (which was a remastered MK4 exclusive to the Dreamcast), MK Deadly Alliance, MK Tournament Edition (GBA game, only important if you want to know Sektor's story and a bit of Sareena's as well), and MK Deception.

I'm not into watching Youtubers; rather play the games than watch them (which is why I'm looking into making my own LP channel... I just gotta find the time for it).

And yeah, the games still look pretty good~ I gotta give a shot at the ones I've missed.

I think the original trilogy is the "definitive". And now we can even play them on MAME in all their glory. Those games actually looked pretty good and still do!

I recommend user "SoulSnatching" on YouTube, he's a Hungarian MK fan and I've never seen anyone so devoted to the series. "MrGSTAR321" is also a good channel if you're into humor, drama and sweating over the cheap MK AI and playthroughs of obscure MUGEN Mortal Kombat games. ;)

Haven't played Armageddon, but I probably should ><. I started with the original 3, then skipped everything between that and MK9 because of various reasons (mostly monetary x.x)... and MK9, even, my laptop didn't run it - at that point, it was my only computer. Took up MK9 once my desktop was fixed... roughly 3 days before MKX was released. Love the hell outta MKX though.

I kinda liked the old timeline, but Midway wrote themselves into a corner with Armageddon. :( The reboot was the only way to continue.
