I'm going to type you a proper reply via email, just posting on your profile to mention that I'm not sure where I got the idea from that you required shiny Pokemon for the you-know-what, silly me, I must have just misread something. I thought that did seem like a lofty goal post, that many shinies, but was going to try to meet it anyway! Never mind, I understand now, thanks for clarifying, but yes, I like the idea of any Pokemon allowed, special balls, pokerus, high level mons, or just regular Pokémon, so long as it's legit and matches the club typing. I will follow up on that, but just writing to let you know that I think we're all on the same page now. Sorry for the mix-up <3

I haven't forgotten about our event. I am working a message to you as we speak, but in short, yes, we do have other participants coming, and I may have thought of some more people to ask. Hold tight!

Haha, it's part of my job, no worries, plus I like you, and it's such a good cause. It's also good for clubs, and I love all the energy you are bringing to all the different forums, Meet & Greet, Trivia, The Clubhouse, Pokemon General, Off-Topic and onward, and enjoy watching you work.

And by the way, I sent you a private message, and we have got our answer, and it's a yes from higher staff. Badges WILL be approved :)

Seems I'm putting you to work lol
But good to know there will probably be some friendly rivalry between the Ice & Dragon clubs at least =3

I haven't typed up a proper response to the detailed private message you sent me about your event plans just yet, but I want you to know though that I'm on the case,I have already talked to adminstration about some of these ideas. The response has been positive so far, so I am keeping my fingers crossed in hope and will let you know as soon as I get an answer. I will write up a longer, full message to you via pm soon, but just want you to know that I would be interested in joining the fun with my dragon club. We dragons have to defend our reputation, everyone thinks we're easily destroyed by ice Pokemon, so it would be nice to show that we draconic beings can be very resourceful and hold our own. Also will see what alliances might be worked out with other Pokemon clubs like Fairy or Water. Hold tight Rekoil <3

We're really lucky to have you as part of our community Rekoil, I love your creativity and giving spirit, and our forum is a more fun and caring place because of you.

I have contacted one of our administrators about a special badge to commemorate this winter event, and he told me that he would let me know soon. I have my fingers crossed, if there's any reason why they can't create one though we will still come up with something to reward members with.

The existing clubhouse badges are a couch for club members, and a little house for club owners. Moderators can award them in bronze, silver or gold with sparkles at our discretion, but admins I think can make the badge any color they want, which is why you sometimes see badges that are colors like pink or blue. So if they don't approve a new badge, they might be willing to bestow the existing clubhouse badges in a rare color like maybe something like red and green for the Christmas seasons, or an icy blue for winter, never hurts to ask.

If a brand new badge does get approved then you would pick an icon from this catalog.

While delibird isn't an option I'm afraid, there are real world birds, and a lot of winter holiday themed icons though like candy canes, gifts, sleighs, snowflakes, there's literally thousands of possibilities.

If you want a really specific design though we could maybe give out something like a trophy, like this one that members got during a clubhouse end of year festival last year. Fairy made this for the second place winner, which was a tie between the water Pokemon club and nature club. It's called the Silver Sylveon award. There's also a Golden Milotic for first place.

Fairy is on leave right now, but we might be able to collaborate with the art studio or something to make us something. A special event like this one needs some extra magic.

Well I'd definitely like to try and set this up as an event for the Ice type Club then =3
I called the numbers 'rough' as I've been debating against myself what the proper numbers for mons Wonder traded would be. I don't want to do too many, because then it becomes more of a chore and won't be appealing to people. But if I do too little, it'd feel too easy. I feel like these 'rough' numbers make an acceptable balance between the two.
The numbers can be tweaked though if deemed too low for example.

Ah so there's presets for badges then? Or I might be misinterpreting 'styles'..
Because I was thinking a Delibird or just a Delibird Head would be fitting. Since it's basically a Santa Bird Pokemon and fits with being an Ice Type as well =p
With it's signature move Present (Delibird is still the only one that learns it by level up, though others can learn it by breeding) also being very fitting =3

Looking forward to hear if they approve or not =3

    Hi there Rekoil!

It's been a pleasure to have you with us in the clubhouse. I love this new ice club, and am so glad that you've got the holiday spirit. I am a big fan of Pokemon trading, and think your plan for an ice-themed wonder/surprise trade for members is an awesome idea! I did something like this a little similar with the dragon Pokemon club last year.

Members can absolutely host events, and it's really a special treat when they do. CiCi did a fun challenge in 2020 as part of the Dream Weavers where folks had to make creative content inspired by their dreams like drawings, short stories etc. We had some holiday clubs once and did things like Easter egg dying, and Christmas decoration showcases, Halloween costume contests. G-Money gave away presents to shiny hunters with the best nicknames for their captured Pokemon. So yes, you have some liberty to plan events! I think it's very clever of you making this during the Christmas season since it's a time of cool weather to fit the ice typing, and it's also traditionally a time of giving and charity, so it makes sense to share with one another through trade :)

Badges can be given out for participation in club events too, just like I'm giving out one in the sci-fi club, Prof Plum likewise gives out a cat badge to members of the cat club "litter box." Badges are normally awarded by moderators, but I would be more than happy to give out badges to anyone in your club who has earned them on your behalf. We would have to get permission from an administrator, because all badges have to be approved first by them, but I'm ready to make the case to them for it.

If they are cool with it then you will have yourself a badge, and I'll be eager to show you all the different styles you can chose from :)

    Hi Milotic,

As a new club owner I was just wondering if there's any restrictions for club events/badges?

I was thinking of a Wonder/Surprise Trade event for the duration of December for the Ice Type club, where club member would trade away Ice types (which can either be caught or bred) through Wonder/Suprise Trade. Preferably they'd post a screenshot or photo of their box before they start trading and then another when done (not sure if this can be asked of club members). Could possibly be tied in with a Club badge. For some rough numbers: 6 Ice types Wonder/Surprise Traded is Bronze. 18 is Silver and a full Box of 30 is Gold.

The idea behind it being that December has Christmas in it and is the time of giving as well as being the starting point of Winter. (And I associate Winter with ice Types I guess). Reason I'm doing the whole month rather than say the last week or 2 is because people tend to be busy during the holidays so this would give them more time to participate ^.^

    Hey again Milotic ^.^

Had a question for a thread I started in Poketrivia:

Basically the nominations here would go in to a poll (in a new thread) after a week from starting the thread. I've only made a poll once before (in a different section), and from what I remember you can only add 1 question in a thread.
So: Is there a way to make multiple questions in 1 thread?
I'd much rather make 1 thread with all 3 poll questions than 3 threads with 1 poll question (which is also the main reason I split up the nominating into 3 types at a time... i didn't want to possibly end up having to make 18 poll threads all at once xD).

Also haven't seen you post in a bit I think, hopefully your just busy and it's nothing serious? =)

I think I'm gonna VM the person who had the 'Host' role when it died out, see if he/she still knows the mon they had in mind. If yes I'll probably bump it. if not I'll probably make a new one instead ^.^

Hi Rekoil! That choice is up to you actually. You are allowed to revive a thread after 3 months, it's not excessively old, I have probably bumped threads in that time frame However, you could make a brand new thread if you'd rather do that. You are allowed to remake any game if it has gone inactive for more than a month. If it was years old it would probably be better to just start fresh, but if it's a couple of months then it can go either way, that decision we leave with members whether they want to start anew or a bump an existing thread. It is your call my friend. Thanks for being a great trivia member by the way :)

Hey Milotic, been wondering if I can still bump the 20 Questions thread (been inactive for over 3 months) ? or would it be better to start a new one? Dunno if 3 months counts as 'excessively old'. (there was a bit on thread revival in the rules, but it sounded like I have a choice as long as the thread isn't like years old).

Been wanting to bump it for a bit now but unsure if it's still allowed or if it's not just better to start a new one ^.^
