Happy Thanksgiving! I hope yours was nice.

I appreciate the message, sort of needed it at the moment and it means way more than you know.

I noticed you looked spiffy in gold, and was eager to compliment you being a good soldier decorated with medals. Glad I could pin the recent one on you. You did good!

I have to catch up on our longer messages, but for now I just had to stop by before the night was over and wish a Happy Thanksgiving my friend! I hope it was a great day. Have a good rest of the week! <3

I'm glad I could help in some form,

I'm happy to know your mother is receiving visitation when she can. Being there for her is the best possible thing. It's good to know you'll receive some rest while your aunt visits, although I understand it still won't feel restful until you know she's okay. I will pray for your family and hope for the best. I hope she recovers soon and the pain subsides so you can enjoy the holiday season together as you should. I'm not sure how far the surgery has proceeded by the time i'm writing this, but with a heavy heart I really hope it went okay.

And it's okay, I don't mind how much you shared. I hope you have a fantastic thanksgiving too.

Thank you so much for the gentle pat on the shoulder. It means a lot to me right now friend, and I appreciate you keeping my family and in your thoughts. Seeing your message brought a smile to my face.

It was a rough night. The hardest part is no visitors at night under any circumstances in this hospital due to the pandemic, not even in the waiting room. So I just slept in the car last night after getting her checked in--it was a cold night outside, but I know it was worse for my mom. She was in pain, couldn't have anything to eat or drink for procedure and she was scared and did not want to be alone last night. Visitors are allowed in the day though, so when they opened the doors to everybody at 6:00 am I went to the tower where was staying in and have been with her all day pretty much since. I haven't had much sleep. The disks on her neck are herniated and pressing into the spinal cord, that is what is causing the pain. They recommend surgery today to correct this, my mom is afraid of surgery but has reluctantly agreed since it's a relatively low risk procedure. She's getting ready for surgery at 3:00, I stepped out to the cafeteria to eat something while she was having a bath to prep, but I'm going back up to her room soon. I hope I can stay with her during the procedure, but if not I will see her afterward. Let's hope everything goes smoothly. I will have to leave tonight because of the hospital rules and will go home and take care of the house, feed all of the pets, and tomorrow my aunt will take my place and stay with my mom to give me a rest--unforunately the whole family can't be here at once because of the rule of one guest per day. So another loved one will take a turn tomorrow. I will be calling her though, and keeping her close in my dreams.

Thanks for your support. I know I have shared lot, but felt good talking about some of it. I wish you and your loved ones all well too, and hope you have a fantastic Thanksgiving. <3

I saw the post you made for the discussion thread, and I'm so sorry to hear about what's happening with your mother.

It's probably not much, but I'll keep you in my thoughts and I really do hope everything goes well.

She was a ghost, with face paint and a robe. My favorite costume was a banana suit. I like the silly costumes over the scary ones. Are you looking forward to the upcoming holidays?

The reason why it was removed bothered me. It was shut down because of the topics discussing LGBTQ. Pokecommunity has an unhealthy mindset towards this. There are people who join with different mindsets, and shouldn't a community who strongly advocates for LGBTQ equality be patient and talk with those who don't understand? Instead, these people are cast out and slapped with labels such as homophobic or transphobic. Nothing is solved, and they probably hold even more resentment. The administration has shut down any discussion on it through claiming it hate speech. Real change happens when other people understand. This community could advocate and teach, but instead puts up a barrier of seclusion. My opinion might not hold much, as i'm only one lone voice. But there's how I feel about it.

Thank you. I feel like a rather lackluster club owner. I appreciate the contributions @Fairy has made. She would probably do a better job as owner. I've sort of made a mess of it. The conversations are all over the place, and there really isn't much going on. I was surprised mine was on the banner, as I had considered myself to have failed.

Oh no, it's okay. I wouldn't be disappointed by the nickname so don't worry, it can be a surprise.

Also I noticed while checking the Emotion topic, you said you were feeling unwanted. I hope those thoughts passed. On this forum, you are a beloved and cherished user by many.

That sounds like so much fun! What did she dress up as? We did some pumpkin carving ourselves at home for the holiday. It brought a smile to my face.

I have question for you! Of past costumes you have worn, what is your personal favorite. For me I remember being a bride of Frankenstein once, and I had a pretty elaborate get-up. I also made a good vampire countess once. One of my earliest memories dressing up for Halloween was in day-care, I insisted that I wanted to be a skeleton or "bone legs" as I called skeletons when I was 3 or 4. My mum bought me a cute skeleton costume to wear to daycare that glowed in the dark.

That's awesome to hear that your sibling is getting married next year! You're full of glad tidings for me, and I love it!

I miss Deep Discussion too, though I am glad we still get to have serious discussion ultimately. Having the two sections was nice because there is so much content total and the types of content vary greatly. Who knows? Maybe one day deep discussion will split off into it's own section again. Off topic conversations were once all in one place both light and heavy. Then it split and became two distinct sections of the forum. Now it's unified into one again. Maybe it will go through another metamorphosis some day? For now my friend Dimitri and I will do our best to keep it a lively place and foster both fun and serious conversation for all of y'all. They've been such anamazing and helpful partner for me.

Thank you for your many encouraging words! They mean a lot to me.

You are always a wonderful voice in Off-topic. It's great to have you hanging out with us in so many different topics. I appreciate your two cents, you bring up some good points and are very positive.

The cake badge can be won in different ways. It could be making a birthday for someone or yourself, holding any kind of event for Off-topic like the marathon a month challenge would also qualify for the badge, creating a thread to celebrate any holiday like Christmas, Hannukah, Thanksgiving, Easter, Valentine's Day. Frequently wishing others good will on their birthdays, or spreading the joy when someone announces other important events like their wedding, child birth, anniversary. The cake badge will follow wherever the festive spirit resides!

Thank you also for all that you have said about The Clubhouse. I love that intimate little place, and try my best. I am very happy that our community has survived and growing like a budding plant. You have been a good owner to the Animal Crossing club, and we're lucky to have you on board. I look foward to hosting another event at the end of year for all club of month winners like yourself to participate in and hopefullly win prizes. I want to make the winter festival an annual thing.

On the Cottonee, I did give it a name. I think it's a kinda cute name, and you come up with fun and creative names so it might fit on your team. I still remember all the cool, quirky names from your Emerald playthrough. I could tell you the name I made up now and you can exercise veto power if it's too much of a surprise. Or I can just keep it a mystery until the promised trade day. The choice is you.

Let me know what works for you!

    Your friend,

    -Sam

It was really nice. My mother actually dressed up, and I can't recall her ever doing that. She had a great time. We carved jack-o-lanturns and threw them in a fire. Oh, congratulations to your friend! I have a sibling who is getting married next year.

It's a nice section. I still miss deep discussion. I wasn't much active as a poster, but I spectated the conversations often. For the cake badge, is it required to make a birthday topic for someone else? Also i'm happy to see how your clubhouse thriving. I think you do a fantastic job running it. It must feel so rewarding too.

If you want, you can surprise me with a name. I admit, sometimes for my names I just google search a random name generator. That's not very creative, but it can be amusing.

I hope you have a wonderful Halloween too my friend! Do you have any special holiday plans in mind to celebrate this weekend? It's really cool that your mother's birthday is tomorrow on top of it being an exciting holiday. A friend of mine is getting married tomorrow so this is one especially festive Halloween I must say.

You are welcome, thank you for being such an major contributor to discussion in Off-topic. You make and post in lots of threads, and deserve a gold badge more definitely. I'm glad you like it. The cake badge is somewhere around here too :)

By the way, I have that shiny Cottonee whenever you're feeling up to a trade? Is there a nickname you would like me to give it?

    Happy hunting!

It'll also be my mother's birthday tomorrow. I never bought this up, but she has a holloween birthday.

And thank you for the badge, I was excited for the design but to be honest didn't expect to receive it.

It's good to hear that you're doing better. I have had the lingering cough or other symptom too before, but just keep doing what you're doing, rest up, plenty of fluids, eat healthy and you'll be getting back to 100% health soon <3

Well, it was going to be a present so you don't have to give me anything in return. But I won't say know to a hoopa if you have a spare. :)

My 3ds friend code is 2939-2127-7148. If you share yours with me then I'll register you in my ds, and later on once you're feeling all better we can trade
