Yeah, my parents like to use the A/C as little as possible... we only have A/C in our vacation house, and it does get quite uncomfortable in the summer :/

I wouldn't join a book club either. I don't read much fiction besides Japanese manga, and most book clubs I know don't read car repair books... it's also the reason I hated English class... too much reading crap I didn't care about.

Yeah, I'd hate to be stuck in the same building for six or seven years:/ Fortunately I graduated long before they decided to do that. The high school building wasn't designed to house middle school in the first place... makes me wonder if there's some sort of fire code that's being violated...

See, I don't mind piling on layers of clothes if it's cold, but when it's hot there's only so much you can do. Especially if you're in a room or a car with someone else who doesn't think it's hot and refuses to turn on the air conditioner or the fan.

Yeah, my school only has a book club and sports. And as much as I like to read, I'd never join a book club. I don't want to read something just because everyone else wants to. And I have a different taste in books, I really like science fiction, but I also like nonfiction books about computer history. Sadly that's an area my school library is severely lacking in. I mean, they don't even have Fire in the Valley! D:

Ew. I'd hate to go to high school in the same building as where I went to middle school. :c

Yeah, I have more than my share of shorts and T-shirts, as I need something light and comfortable to wear. So when it gets cold I don't have much of a choice but to pile on the layers :/

I basically got involved in the math club, the student council, yearbook staff and stuff like that. Mine was a smaller rural school so there wasn't much to offer... I couldn't even take AP sciences courses... just English, History, and Math.

Taxes are ridiculous... and the entire district is going to hell in a handbasket... 50+ jobs got cut and they're cramming the middle school and high school students in one building now :/ Of course athletics didn't suffer much :P

Well I don't like when it's cold enough that I have to start wearing a coat or anything. But most of my wardrobe consists of pants, sweaters, and dress shirts, so that probably explains why I hate hot weather. :P Like you can tell it's getting hot out when I'm not wearing a tie, or if I have a skirt on. *doesn't even own any shorts*

I know, everyone told me that I should join a club if I wanted to meet people, but my school only has a few and none of them interest me. Though apparently next year they're going to have a robotics club, and that would be pretty rad.

Aren't taxes high enough already? D:

I'd like it if it never got below 70 XD I just really hate wearing layers and layers of clothes when I'm more comfortable with just a T-shirt and shorts.

And in school I just got involved with a lot of clubs and stuff, especially after transferring midway through 10th grade. I think that helped me adjust to the new school fairly quickly.

And speaking of school, our superintendent's being all whiny because the budget was voted down... That would have increased taxes by 8%... gee, I wonder why it was voted down? [/sarcasm]

It's colder here than in New York, and I still don't like warm weather. :P If it never got above 70 degrees I'd be happy.

Well I'm really good at all my classes, I'm just terrible at having a social life. xD

Nah, I like warmer weather... 18 years of snow was enough for me. Maybe it's because I grew up in the frozen wasteland of upstate New York but I like warm weather.

And the storm happened in the evening so nobody was in the school building except maybe janitors.

Yeah, I did have a more positive opinion of school when I went which is probably why I enjoyed it... well, that and I was good at just about everything xD

Honestly I wouldn't consider the weather there better. It's way too hot down there for me. :c

Really I think it's mostly my fault that I hate high school so much. I mean, if I didn't act like such a nerd probably people would leave me alone. xD
Was anyone in it when it lost part of the roof? That reminds me of when one of the walls of our house started to cave in. Luckily I wasn't near it because I really would've freaked out.

Yeah, I'm completely the opposite as far as my parents wanting me to stick around... my parents live in New York and I went to college in North and South Carolina... not only because it's far away but also because the weather's so much better :P

Ooh, my bad xD Good luck on your next three years of school then xD Actually, I didn't find high school that bad, but that may be because I went to one that was decent at the time. From what I hear though, my old high school has gone to hell in a handbasket since I left... budget cuts and all... heck the place even lost part of the roof... that's gotta be a sign, lol

I really don't care how far away the college I go to is, as long as it's a nice one. I really want to go to MIT but probably I won't, since I'm sure I won't be able to afford it. But my mother actually wants me to live with her forever. I don't plan on it though, unless she wants to move to New Mexico or Canada with me. I hope I can move to New Mexico but depending on politics and stuff I might just pick Canada. (Speaking of which, don't read about new world orders right before you go to bed. I did last night, and had some nasty nightmares.)

Umm, I haven't graduated high school. xD I'm only a freshman in fact, so perhaps it'd be better to congratulate me for surviving my first year? I'm surprised that I did, for sure. :P

I went to college 800 miles from home. I really needed to get away. Sadly, I'm back living with my parents until I can find work, and I'm getting sick of them and they're getting sick of me...

Congrats on graduating high school! Ours had part of the roof blown off last week by a massive storm with wind and lots of rain xD Somehow the kids only missed one day of school before it was temporarily patched up. I'd still be a bit nervous about getting wet on the top floor if I still went there, especially since we're still getting rain :/

I haven't recorded anything lately... not since the CEO of my favorite hotel chain appeared on Undercover Boss. We have a couple DVD/VCR converters though I haven't used the VCR part of them... I'd rather use my five year old machine with all the bells and whistles :)

I would love to move somewhere else. It would just be nice to go to a new school where nobody would know me. I'm already counting down the days I have left of high school. D:

I just recorded some stuff on VHS tapes recently. I bet nobody else has the royal wedding or the new episodes of Doctor Who on tape! :D We actually have 2 VCRs but one of them eats tapes. :c But the other one still works like new even though we've had it for as long as I can remember, so I'm guessing it's pretty good quality. Although I probably should still get one of those DVD converters just in case something happens to the tapes or the player.

I just need a job for the money... and hopefully so I can live somewhere far away from the hellhole called home... back where I went to college sounds good, as I met a lot of awesome people there.

The good thing is, right before they took them off the market, I bought a fairly high-end standalone S-VHS recorder (because the ones that are part of those DVD/VHS combo units are usually crap) that hopefully should last me a good long time... I have a bunch of VHS tapes that I recorded off TV from 10-15 years ago that hopefully still work. Maybe I should look for old VHS anime releases on Amazon... I've heard that most of the old releases are of bad shows but maybe there's a hidden gem in there somewhere, lol

I don't even know if I can get a job yet in my state. But it seems like I should, if they think I'm old enough to drive. I mean, even though I'm morally opposed to getting a job, I think maybe I could suffer through it as long as it didn't require me to do much socializing.

Mine's holding up my window, actually. So when I do need it, I'll have to find something else to put there. And I have some really bizarre stuff in the pockets of my sweatshirt, like a computer mouse and a stick of celery. I had brought my mouse to school to see if my teacher could fix it, but he couldn't so I just left that piece of junk in my pocket. And the celery was there because I had it pinned to my shirt, but it wilted and started to look ugly, defeating the purpose of a decorative vegetable.

Recently I've been buying a bunch of VHS tapes from Amazon. Because really, who would wait a few months to buy a show that came out in the 60's, 70's, or 80's on DVD for at least 20 dollars when you could buy it on tape for a dollar or two and have it right away? :/ I'd still be waiting to see Time and the Rani if I didn't buy it last year on tape.

At least I don't have the problem with small cars, lol... my parents still like their vehicles big, even if they did move on to trucks:/ I'm still waiting for a car of my own but at least then I'll be able to control what vehicle I get. Problem is, I'm not working either... job market sucks in my area.

I think I had one of those briefcase cassette things too, but with my parents constantly throwing out my old stuff, who knows where it (or my collection of mixtapes) are now. And on a semi-related note, somehow I have a telephone cord in my coat pocket xD

I use both Amazon and eBay quite a it, eBay more for the used stuff/stuff from Japan that Amazon wouldn't carry. But both sites know me quite well xD
