No worries, I know what college is like. Is this your first week back? The buses at my school weren't too bad, but the drivers decided to go on strike during exam season one year. As a result had to walk home after spending the entire night on campus. ><

I live in Ontario, though I am very close to the Québec border. French was compulsory in school here until grade nine, and we had the option to take French immersion. Sadly I did not, but I've been trying to make up for it in recent years. Which of the states are you from?

We're less limited than we used to be at least, but some of the limitations are still weird, like the lack of dresses this gen. Also there appeared to be more makeup options in Gen VI, but we couldn't wear it outside of the photo studio. How weird was that? xD And I totally agree about highlights and lowlights! =O We're going to be so disappointed when they don't include this stuff now...xD

I'm exactly the same way with games! I love large open world games, but I have quite a few that I've yet to complete, including Skyrim and Xenoblade Chronicles. I haven't even completed Super Mario Galaxy 2. *sweatdrop*

Sorry late replies. College has gotten me so busy! It doesn't help that public transportation here has me waiting many hours for my bus to arrive because the bus company isn't hiring drivers to pick us up when they're supposed to come. (I could just get on data, but I type so much faster on computer and don't like writing anything too long on phone).

I have a polish friend who speaks 5 languages including Japanese. She learned many if not most kanji and I have no idea how she managed to do it. Immersion definitely helps people learn languages faster, and where are you in Canada? Quebec? I want to visit there! :) I have a few other french Canadian friends actually and the closest one has helped me improve my own French.

That's a very nice list! I totally agree with all of those, especially more makeup options and accessories since those are severely lacking. It really makes me think about how limited we still are. I also don't like the style of the longest hairstyle very much myself and am waiting for a good classic length hairstyle. I would also like some highlights and lowlights!

That makes me want to try BOTW more. I like games that take forever to complete, even though sometimes I never end up completing them because of it. xD

Wow, are you studying English at college or university? I don't like English class much myself(which is weird because I love writing haha), but I did take a class in university. But it sounds like you like it, so I hope you enjoy it! :D And you don't seem a shy person at all! xD

As for Japanese, I can read kana but more often than not I don't know what I'm reading. *sweatdrop* I don't know many kanji either, as there are quite a lot to remember. I printed off a list of all the symbols grade one students are expected to know, and was insane! Though I imagine you get used to it if you see it everyday. That's undoubtedly why I was able to pick up French rather easily; I'm in a very bilingual part of Canada, so I see and hear it on a regular basis.

I don't think I'll ever be satisfied with the customization options. You can see here how much I've thought about it. ^^ I didn't include longer hair in that list though. :O That would be nice too! My character in Sun only has medium-length hair because I don't really like the style of the longer version. xD

I definitely recommend Breath of the Wild. It is huuuuuuge, so much in fact that I'm still far from completing it(I'm trying to do it without a guide, but I'm probably going to crack and see what I've overlooked at some point before the year's end). The main story is somewhat small imo, but it makes up for it will all the sidequests.

I used to have a lot of clothes too, but I got rid of a bunch when I moved a few years ago. I'll slowly get back to where I was though. It's a good excuse to look into new styles. :)

Hey! I just came back home from my first day at my advanced English class! It went pretty well, and all my classmates seem pretty unique and interesting. I hope I'll make some friends and overcome my shyness. :)

I speak and write in Japanese. Not fluently, but enough to have intermediate conversations with people. I avoid using kanji when I write though, because I haven't properly studied it although I do use some basic kanji like '私', and "月", and other words. That's pretty neat that you learned so much from anime alone! How well can you read and write in Japanese? I find that the way Japanese people speak towards one another is much less formal than the way I have learned in my textbook, but thanks to anime you can easily learn some informal words and terminology. :)

I definitely agree with those things about ultra S/M! I would love to see a return of gyms (I do also like totem Pokemon, but gyms are the best), and I would love new clothing, hair and accessory options for my player, and I'd really love to be able to cut my hair longer than I could in S/M. xD Thankfully they gave us more options to choose from than back in X/Y, but y'know the more the merrier.

Oh I want to play BOTW too. :) It's actually the game I'm most looking forward to playing besides Odyssey, and when I saw the trailer my first reaction was "Nintendo, take my money!" The graphics, gameplay, music, and story all seem to be amazing, but I haven't played it myself yet.

That's pretty understandable. My skin is not super pale but I burn in 90 degree weather myself, and I feel uncomfortable and start to sweat in heat passed 85 degrees F! >.<

I'm not suuper super deep into fashion but I know what looks nice for the season or the occasion, and I love trying new styles when I can. :) I have so much clothes I can barely fit any more in my dressers and closet. xD

I can only speak English fluently, but I can read and write in French and I'm trying to reach that level in a number of others. I've picked up a lot of Japanese from anime though; I once realized I understood raw episodes of Mermaid Melody more than the Italian dub(which is nonetheless excellent). I assumed it would be the other way around though. Can you speak Japanese?

I've slowed down a bit on the Nuzlocke recently though. I was posting once a day in the beginning, but now it's more paced out. And nope, I'm not using TM's at all for this. I've been selling every one I get, and that'll include Earthquake. :( Thus Ivanna's strongest STAB attack will be Poison Sting haha.

I hope the buddy Pokémon return, but my most wanted changes include Pokémon gyms and an overhaul of the customization feature. They need to get rid of version exclusive items, and bring back dresses after having some nice ones in X & Y.

Oh, you'e getting a Switch? That's awesome. I'd love to get one myself but I'll be waiting a little bit longer for it. I'm more of a Zelda fan, and I picked up Breath of the Wild for Wii U instead. :D

My preference for cool weather is more biological really, because my pale skin is absolutely horrible in the heat. I either need lots of sunscreen or to stay away from shorts and sleeveless tops. xD

And you're interested in fashion, eh? I can never keep up with everything, but it's fun to try. ^_^

Oooo, how many languages do you speak? Are you bilingual? ^^ I would agree that language learning can be fun, albeit sometimes difficult (Like Japanese was for me).

By the way you're writing that nuzlocke so fast! I have so much to keep up with! Chapter 15 already... you're a machine. xD I couldn't help but spoil myself, and your team looks so good. Pssst.. get TM26 and teach it to Ivanna. I know I'm so bad. :D

Ultra S/M has a few interesting new features, and I especially like the new Lycanroc dusk form and the possible return of buddy Pokemon. I don't think I'm going to buy it myself though; I want to save my money because I'm planning on buying a Nintendo Switch in a couple of months. (And I'm extremely excited to play Super Mario Odyssey when it's released in October).

Ooooh so you're excited for cool weather? I'll be honest, I'm not a huge fan of cool weather in general (other than for the fashion), and I'm much more of a summer person.

Thank you so much! I love hearing people's reactions, as it makes me want to keep going with it. ^^

I definitely agree with you about failure, particularly with language learning(which is a hobby of mine). Some seem overwhelming at first, but once you break them down they begin to make sense. And some of the best ways to learn something is to mess up and then get corrected. ^^

And good for you with the singing! :) I still think I'm a horrible singer myself, which is why I only do it when no one's listening. :P

The girl is six(though she was two when I met her), and the boy is four. I hope I get to see them again soon! I doubt they'd mind either once they find out how much I'd let them get away with haha.

It was really surprising to see Luna as a toy, but it made some sense once I realized how much effort it must take to produce a live action talking cat. Sabrina the Teenage Witch did the same thing with Salem iirc, though it was a lot better than this.

Hmm, I am somewhat looking forward to Pokémon Sun and Moon, though it's not the same hype as when we're starting a new generation. What do you think? I'm probably more anxious about the arrival of cooler weather in the coming weeks. :D

It's really good so far! You're a fantastic writer, and also entertaining. :) I chuckled at a few parts haha, and yeah that was a pretty good strategy. I'll have to stay updated so I can root for Ivanna and watch as shhe becomes a powerful Nidoqueen. ^^

Awww. I think everyone who practices gymnastics bangs themselves up a bit, and that's just part of learning. I remember the time I hurt myself while doing a backflip outside. It's a bit hard to explain, but basically I nailed the flip, but my legs weren't prepared for the landing so I tripped over and banged my head against the floor. It hurt, but I've dealt with worse pain and I didn't break any bones so it was fine. :)

Yeah you learn from all sorts of different experiences and that's why I like to say that failing makes you better in the long run! A few years ago I thought I was a hopelessly bad singer, but I never stopped singing and now I feel like I'm actually sorta decent! :D

Aww ^^ A boy and a girl that's so cute and pretty much what I would wish to have for myself if I were to have children! How old are they?? Mmm I can relate to that. I don't think I'd be a good mother currently, and I'm also very lenient with children. I am pretty bad at teaching discipline haha.

Yeah! In a way the movie makes me appreciate the anime more.. xD I didn't know Sailor Moon had a live adaptation omg, and Luna was a stuffed toy? Omg that is so silly.. like whyyyy. >.<

Random question, but is there anything you're looking forward to currently? :)

It's my first ever Nuzlocke so I thought it would be fun, and so far it is. Thanks for reading by the way! That's how I first beat Brock back when I was just a beginning trainer; it was my brother's game but he couldn't do it, so I took over and came up with that strategy. ^_^

I used to do cartwheels when I was little, but I hurt myself and stopped doing it altogether. I guess I'm a scaredy-cat in general, not just with scary movies. =O Though learning from my mistakes is something I do a lot in other areas, like school, relationships, Pokémon, etc. ^^

And yup, my brother has two kids, a boy and a girl. I've only met the girl though and she's adorable. ^_^ I don't think I could do the same however. For one thing I'd be a terrible mother, letting my kids get away with anything and everything. *sweatdrop*

Rewatching Death Note definitely sounds better than watching the movie IMO, as live action adaptations rarely if ever do well. I watched a little of the Sailor Moon one and I didn't like it much at all. Luna the cat was a stuffed toy! xDDD I'll keep my fingers crossed for One Piece but I'm not expecting much. Heh

Ah that sounds fun. Nuzlockes can be pretty challenging. I am reading some of yours right now and it's pretty well written and at parts, very funny too. xD It's pretty impressive how you defeated Brock. I always remembered having trouble against him, but you took advantage of Onix's bide and punished him for it. I still can't believe you refused that Pikachu though. I love Pikachu to bits and could never refuse one. :P

Yeah gymnastics can be challenging because it requires a lot of strength, balance, agility, and coordination, but practice really does help. I've been practicing gymnastics since I was really little, and it's good exercise and lots of fun too, and you feel amazing physically and mentally the more you improve. Sadly I've hurt myself a few times from it though, but never too bad. The great thing about falling is learning from your mistakes and improving yourself. ^^

Ah your brother is married and I take it since he has a family of his own he has cute little kids too? :D That's really neat, good for him. ^^ I'm hoping one day I can get married and have children of my own too, but right now I feel it's not the right time. Maybe one day, or maybe not. Time will tell. :) I've watched the trailer but I'm not sure I want to see it given the negative feedback it's been receiving. So if anything, I'm feeling like re-watching death note haha. Wow one piece will have its own live action adaptation? Oh my, that sounds like it could be catastrophic. xD

My Ultimate Nuzlocke! I've been playing through Yellow Version and making it into a fanfic-like story. It's been fun. :) I don't think I've made a thread in Off-Topic for years. I used to make a topic about snow when it first starts to fall in my area, so I'll see if I can revive that tradition this year.

Wow, you do gymnastics too?! That sounds like it could be fun as well, albeit challenging. But it should get easier over time, which is something I've been experiencing with my own work-outs. That said I wouldn't do it if I were exhausted, so I don't blame you for passing it up the other day. ^_^

We've done that before, my brother and I, but I was still a scaredy-cat lol. He lives a thousand miles away with a family of his own now though, so we don't get to do that much anymore. His wife has to deal with him instead haha.

And yes, I know about the Death Note movie, but I've only seen a few minutes of it at an anime convention. Ryuk's animation seemed a tad out of place, but it otherwise looked alright. Have you seen the whole thing? It was recently announced that One Piece will be getting the same treatment(as a TV show though, not a movie), and I am worried that the result will be horrible. =/

Ooo which thread?! I have barely seen any of your threads but you have seen many of mine! This is so one sided! D:

Ha, being a zombie isn't fun. I could have had better sleep, but my body was like 'lolno' and I woke up extra early. Today my dad wanted to take me and our poodle to the park for exercise (The day was sunny with a nice gentle breeze) but I said no, because I was exhaaaaaausted. I usually go with him so I can run across the track. (I also do various other exercises, and cartwheels / gymnastics there).

Mmmm we're similar, but I think it's pretty normal to lose sleep after watching horror and I also try to avoid watching horror late at night especially. Your brother sounds fun! If you two ever decide to watch horror movies together late at night, he can be there to comfort you. :) Lastly, you know about the Death Note movie right?? What do you think of that? xD

I'm not too tired at the moment, but get back to me in a few hours. xD There wasn't much going on today so I updated one of my threads here on PC. ^_^

But I understand why you were tired! Wow, that's not much sleep at all! I've done that before, and just be a zombie the following day. But it sounds like it was worth it though if you had a good time. :)

I totally understand what you mean about jump scares, as I am the same way. I'd sometimes have trouble sleeping afterwards too. =O It's one of the reasons I keep my eyes shut or avoid watching altogether. And my brother of course had to be the exact opposite, as he loves the genre and watches it all the time.

Hey, I am extremely tired hru? :b

Last night was really fun though. I watched the big fight with my boyfriend late at night and had a bit of wine to drink. It was great, but by the time the fight was over it was literally like 1 in the morning and I only managed to get around 3 hours of sleep! D:

Aww I'm a scaredy cat too dw! :) Some horror movies cause me to hallucinate at night, and I literally freak out at jump scares. Like I'm the type of person who will literally jump and scream at jump scares, can't handle em will feel like I'm having a heart attack. xD Supernatural is pretty good from what I've seen of it. ^^

I've heard the comparisons between Code Geass and Death Note, though only after having already watched both. And I definitely agree with you about Code Geass being better.

I do the same thing, getting ideas from people and nature. It's one of the things I like about going out for a walk or run.

I'm not too good with horror because I'm a scaredy-cat. ._. I'm not as bad as I used to be though, which is likely thanks to Supernatural. *_*
