September 23rd, 2008 2:55 PMEmiiI'm trying to learn Japanese so that maybe someday, I could live there and teach Japanese kids English. and my bf wants to be a video game designer, so that would work out well for both of us ^_^ You're lucky, you already know Japanese.. -_- I understand the characters must be so hard to learn though.. I took a Chinese class last year, and I couldn't learn the characters at all, so I doubt I could ever learn Japanese ones, either.. anyway, it'll be so much fun going there! ^_^

September 23rd, 2008 2:47 PMAn-chanYes, I am =D That's unbelievable! I'm hoping we can go next summer. All my friends from school want to go traveling around Europe, but I think that's far too lame. I want to go to Japan! I really want to go there! I can even speak some Japanese. (I don't even dream about reading it properly, though. It's hard!) I know everyone always says it's very expensive country to visit, but I think it can be rather cheap. I've heard that eating there is expecially cheap and the food is good. I actually even hope to live in Japan some day ^-^ Don't know if that'll happen, though!

September 23rd, 2008 2:23 PMEmiiOoh, sounds like fun! =) I would love to paint a wall and pain lots of dolphins and whales and fish.. that sounds like alot of fun! ^_^
and are you seriously saving up with your bf to go to Japan? Because that's exactly what me and my bf are doing XD -
September 23rd, 2008 10:22 AMAn-chanIt's tough being a student, when you think it financially... Why can't all the money in the world just pop out of thin air?
I'm saving up money with my boyfriend so we can travel to Japan next summer. We're doing pretty good, we have already saved up a reasonable amount (not nearly enough yet, of course), and it's too bad I can't get a job. I'm too busy with my school and the law prohibits me from doing more than some 16 hours a week or so, so I don't think it'd do any good anyway. But I kind of have a job at my mothers' aunt, I'm supposed to paint a wall at her place. And it's not just any wall, it's the wall of a room with a swimming pool in it, so I'll be painting sea creatures and like. It'll be hard, but I think it's going to be rather fun ^-^ -
September 23rd, 2008 10:02 AMEmiiI had to work in an office before. I guess it was more like helping, actually. I wasn't paid and it was only for a few days. and I agree, you can thing about anything you want, so that makes it better ^_^
I want to work at Game Stop, that's a store where they sell video games and the systems. I worked there as a Christmas job about 2 years ago, so I know the manager. I need a job really soon, so I'm trying to get hired there. and hopefully my college loan will come in soon too, so I can get my laptop =) but yeah, I'll need a job to pay the college back -
September 23rd, 2008 8:20 AMAn-chanYeah, it's not the same thing at all! It's the same when you borrow a game from someone. If it's good, you just have to have it because you have to own it, because it's good...
What is that job you want? I'd like a summer job as a tourist guide here in Helsinki ^-^ I'd really like that! Last summer I didn't get a job at all and before that, I worked in an office... In a way, copying and arranging papers is fun, because you don't have to think about it very much. You can think about anything you want and still do a good job. Or at least that's what I think. It's still very boring, though. -
September 22nd, 2008 6:39 PMEmiiYeah, like I said, the only thing the dollar is strong for is Chinese money.. XD but anyway, glad it helps you out! ^^ Maybe I'll move to Canada or something someday.. although I think they use dollars, too. so maybe it wouldn't help much ^_^;;
anywayyy, again, you are so lucky you can get DS games for so cheap! ><; although if I get the job I want, I can rent them for free.. it's just not the same as having it XD -
September 22nd, 2008 7:47 AMAn-chanI live in Finland, it's in Northern Europe, if you don't know. Quite a small country, so no wonder if you haven't heard of it. All we have is sauna and Nokia a lot of forests and lakes. I guess that's what Finland is famous for...
And I love the fact dollar sucks! I got Diamond for half the price I would have gotten it here when I ordered it from US, and that's with shipping included! I intend to take full advantage of your misfortune and order a lot of DS games from the US. :D Too bad Wii has regional codes... And my DVD player can't play DVD's ordered from the US either. So, it's DS games or nothing. Not like I'm complaining or anything... ;) -
September 21st, 2008 5:49 PMEmiiOh, what country do you live in? I live in the US.. and the dollar sucks ><; sometimes I wish I lived in England or China or something.. my friends went to China for the summer, and they said 200 dollars was enough for the whole summer.. I don't even get paid 200 dollars in a month.. that's alot.. I could buy like, 6 DS games with that XD
I procrastinate like crazy, so you not reading a book isn't too bad. ^^; I've had homework for 2 weeks now, and I keep putting it off. and now I can't find the assignment. ^^; -
September 21st, 2008 12:15 PMAn-chanMy weekend was very tiring -_- I spent all my time doing school stuff, and that's pretty exhausting sometimes. I still have to read a book and I haven't even gotten it from the library yet! Nice going, eh?
But, yeah, thanks for your explanation on Ace Attorney. I really want to buy one of them, and I think I have to go with the one I can find. Since I live in such a small country, they don't sell that many DS games here. I have to order it (from States preferably, because of the ridiculously small value dollar has right now) and not every places offer international shipping, so it makes finding some games rather difficult. -
September 21st, 2008 12:04 PMEmiiAce Attorney is really good! sometimes I'll get stuck, but I don't usually have to look up walkthroughs. It makes you think, and the stories/cases are really interesting, and always tie up with eachother somehow. And as for which one to try.. well I really dunno. I started on the 3rd one I think.. Trails and Tribulations. and I've still never played the first one. ^^; But the third one explains alot of stuff that happened to the main character in the past, so probably that one, or the first one would be best to start with.
Wow, that was alot XD; Hope that helped! ^_^
So.. how was your weekend? -
September 20th, 2008 11:56 AMAn-chanAlgebra is hard, but I find it interesting... sometimes. Most of it is just annoying :D But that's because I get frustrated so easily.
Have you played Ace Attorney? I hear it's a great game and I'm thinking of buying it, but I can't find anyone to tell me what's it like. And also I don't know which one of them I should buy, there are so many T_T I've never played any Ace Attorney, but I want to try all sorts of games, because you never know what you'll really like unless you try. -
September 19th, 2008 8:41 PMEmiiOh, thanks! Actually, I love astronomy too! I took a class in high school 3 years ago.. but I already knew everything that was being taught. But it was still alot of fun! ^^ We never had a meteorology class though.. lol. I really want to try becoming one, but math is really hard.. algebra, anyway. But I think I might still try my best at it. ^_^
And my avvy is actually from a DS game, Ace Attorney. but it was sort of random too, because I just liked how it looked. =D Thanks! -
September 19th, 2008 12:05 PMAn-chanHello, I just happened to notice you concider studying meteorology... I think it's really cool, not many girls go for such a math-filled science. I thought about becoming an astronomer myself, but I'm having problems with focusing on math problems so I think I'll settle with biology. And, um, I just wanted to say hi, since you seemed like a great person =D And you have that great avatar, too. Is it from some anime or is it just a random pic? =D
