A lot of YouTubers just called this game the best game ever XD I don't want to overhype this for you but yeah...it's the highest rating game on Steam, and was the highest rated PC game of all time until someone gave it a mediocre review. Now it's second highest just under GTA V.
-
My friend that majors in computer science got her professor to buy and play it. He loves it too. xD
-
Oh of course! When you study game design someone HAS to have it xD
-
Well, will anyone buy it before the sale? Next year...gosh that's such a long time! ;~;
-
Probably, but that's why I just let them buy it so I can play it off their account without having to pay a single dollar xD I kinda regret not asking my friends to gift me stuff while I had the chance to.
-
Well technically a friend in NZ can do it then! :o or something. Gah that sucks...
-
Nah I can't. That's what I mean by my friends can't buy it because they've changed the rules of gifting. They region-lock gifting now because too many people were asking their friends in Russia or somewhere else where it's cheap to buy and gift them games so that they would be a lot cheaper. Sucks really ;_;
-
You can always tell someone to gift it to you! My copy is from a friend who's shared it with me too so maybe you can ask someone that has it!
-
It'll go on sale eventually, but that's not bound to happen for a while. Like Brothers - A Tale of Two Sons which came out in 2013 is $18 here, goes on sale for around $2-3 during a steam sale which is amazing. Since it came out September this year, it won't be going on sale till at least mid next year.
Undertale is $12 here right now. Kinda a shame since I used to ask my online friends to buy it for me and I'd pay them back since it's cheaper where they live, but steam doesn't allow that anymore since it's more expensive here.
-
It's on steam - is the pricing that different? Huh. And yeah, I have a friend that does computer science as a major and she absolutely loves it. Brilliant coding all by basically one guy.
I don't think Undertale will go on sale though - it's cheap enough as it is and I don't see how it'll need a sale. That's just me. And yes, don't spoil it!
-
Gosh for a $10US game it's pretty amazing. I'm a video game designer myself so I'm really looking forward to it!
But yeah, unfortunately not in the US so everything is a tad bit more expensive for me. Just gonna hope it goes on sale/ someone else buys it soon! The temptation to spoil it now is high but I won't until I can get a hold of the game xD
-
I just watched another touching scene of that game again and cried. Again. XD The music is sooooo good. As a video game composer it really hits me well.
-
...I thought you were in the US for a second (I actually live in Hong Kong). Well it's about 15 dollars for your currency.
-
I don't think I'm spoiling much, but there are multiple endings.Honestly it's just such a wonderful game...it's my all time favorite over all $60 titles that I own. It's made me laugh harder than anything, and it's made me cry harder than anything. The coding is also extremely clever and breaks the 4th wall as well.
And it's only $10 US! Please do give it a try - and if you're still going in blind, keep me updated about what you're doing!
-
Cool! I'll accept the next time I get on!
Gosh, I knew about the whole not killing anyone thing, but I didn't realise it went that deep. I've been keeping away from watching youtube videos of it just to avoid what makes the game really the best, but it's hard. Undertale sounds like a type of game that fits what I enjoy playing - I just hate it when any media makes me cry though (which is still rare so we'll see if this manages to crack me.)
It's a choice game? So there's different endings too I'm assuming?
