November 6th, 2009 10:24 PMAetherAhhh, I gotcha now. Heh, that sucks. Too bad he didn't have Brave the Elements or something, it's a real life saver.

November 4th, 2009 7:13 PMDonRoyaleoops, my bad, he had the rhox soldier that gives first strike. I don't know how he got the other boosts, but he was in a situation where he couldn't attack without leaving himself completely open.
-
November 4th, 2009 7:07 PMAetherBut wait... he had a captain of the watch out right? So didn't all his soldiers have vigilance? He could have attacked anyone and still have blockers the next turn if that was the case.
-
November 2nd, 2009 7:45 PMDonRoyaleThat was about all the creatures he had. I think he had maybe one or two other creatures, which would've left him open to attacks from the GBR friend of mine.

November 2nd, 2009 7:20 PMAetherThat sounds really badass. I wish I could play a multiplayer MTG match sometime, like EDH or somethin. How the heck did the guy with the soldiers not kill anyone by then? Eldrazi monument, 3 HONORS? Jeebus.

November 1st, 2009 7:34 PMDonRoyaleAbsolutely hilarious stuff happened last night at a friend's. I was in a four-person match; my opponents were a white Soldier deck, a green/black/red devour deck, and a black/blue persist deck.
The white Soldier deck had about four 1/1 tokens, a couple Elite Vanguards (2/1 1-drops), I think a Captain of the Watch (gives all Soldiers +1/+1 and vigilance), three Honor of the Pures and an Eldrazi Monument (gives all your creatures flying, +1/+1 and indestructibility at the cost of a creature per turn.) He had 8 life.
The GBR had a shroud creature that got a +1/+1 counter each time something died. It was 8/8 at the time. He also had 4 1/1 tokens and 2 3/1 tokens. He had 9 life.
The BU had an army, practically. So much persist stuff that he was practically invincible. He had 6 life.
I have Thoctar with 8 counters, Talon of Pain with 0 counters, and Fireball in my hand, with exactly 8 mana.
My turn comes around. I draw a land. I fire off all 8 counters from Thoctar to kill the white Soldier guy, and pay 9R for Fireball to kill off the GBR. I end my turn.
The BU guy does nothing.
I fire off 6 ToP counters FTW.
Everyone was like "holy crap that was beautiful".
Best. Game. Ever. -
November 1st, 2009 7:03 PMAether6/6's? Probably not the same variant I'm running, I overwhelm opponents with small creatures and control spells like brave the elements and harm's way. Now Jund, that I despise. :(
I like your deck, it's nice to see deathbringer thoctar and lightning reaver seeing some use. -

I hate white Soldiers. My friend runs a standard one, and by turn 5, I'm at less than 10 life and he's got a bunch of 6/6 creatures out. UN. FREAKIN'. FAIR. -
October 31st, 2009 7:53 PMAetherNice, I'm using White Soldier deck at the moment... It's really fun to use. What kind of blue spells do you use in your deck?

October 22nd, 2009 8:54 PMDonRoyaleI run a RBU burn for Casual. It's annoying, but it lacks mass removal.
Sarkhan Vol would be good for an RG deck I'm using for fun. :> -
October 22nd, 2009 7:17 PMAetherReally? What kind of deck do you intend to run with them? I like Nicol Bolas too, though his mana cost is rather high...
-
October 22nd, 2009 7:08 PMDonRoyaleThank you :3
I quite like Sorin Markov, though I want to have Sarkhan Vol and Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker more :> -
October 22nd, 2009 7:04 PMAetherDude, the Sorin Markov avatar is brilliant. Your usertitle is cool too. :D

October 4th, 2009 6:43 PMAetherTales of the Abyss is for the PS2, I think it's somewhat rare, since it didn't sell much. You should play it if you can though, it's an awesome game.

October 4th, 2009 6:41 PMDonRoyalenot yet;
seeing as I lack the 360 for (either? idk if Abyss is a 360 title.)
I want a 360, and I fully intend on getting ToV :P
