When you say script writing, do you mean the game script (as opposed to -code-...huge difference)? Ehh, unless you're cutscene-driven with the NPCs talking nothing but trash, I'd suggest you outline first...what I mean is that, well, what I do is that once it's all written in my head (not having anything figured out beforehand is the formula for disaster), I write something, an Outline being the most helpful. Basically, every event in the game gets told unelegantly in sequence for development purposes only...it really does help because it helps you make sure you covered everything when you are writing the script. Unless that's what you meant when you said it was all on paper...
Yeah, keep me posted, please (I can't check EVERY topic ALL the time...too busy). I'll zip you a FR once I lose one xD... -
January 18th, 2009 9:49 PMCaptain ArcaneWell, you see, a lot of the game's story is self explanitory, mainly because it is combining the games and anime into one.
Of course, I will be throwing in my own thing at the end, to tie it all together. But, it will follow the games course, but it will also feature key events in the anime and movies as well. For example, your first incounter with Team Rocket takes place in Virdian City, instead of at Mt. Moon. I wish I could've explained more in the front page, but I came to the limit of characters (it only allows 50,000, which isn't enough for in-depth descriptions).
But, I do plan, and will release more information, but at the moment, 70% of the story is in bits, and written on paper, and the next thing on my to-do list is to get a lot of script writing done.
Send me a friend request, I'd be more than happy to keep you posted on progress.
Also, thank you for the compliment, it means a lot to me that you don't take that for granted, and that it actually payed off to make the front page like that.
thanks again,

I looked at your story section (all of the others too, but...), or lack thereof, and want to ask you the typical question: what actually happens in the game? A few bios and a blob from the game script are pretty much meaningless if you show no indication of any plot within your game. How am I to assume that your Jurrasic Park-esque title is justifiable if you do not explain what this 'Lost World' is at least in microscale?
