It works again! Thank you so much! *Hugs majorly tight*
Without your help, none of this would be possible! :D :D :D

Now there's just one more problem...How do I delete a Pokemon that I inserted that is a "?"? I inserted it into a new space before I could overwrite, and seeing I can't access the sprite to change it, I don't know how to delete it or change the sprite. It was put in the "8000000" space, like you said. Any advice?

You need to go Image -> Mode -> Indexed first.

Hm, well, I have made it the appropriate size, and I'm pretty sure I have 16 colours. But when I go to "Mode", "Colour table" is in grey--I can't click on it. I probably did something wrong. Dx
    Oh, and I have Photoshop CS3. :o

Do you have CS2? It might be different with other versions but here is my process:

    1) Index the image
    2) Cut the entire image
    3) Go to Image -> Mode -> Colour Table
    4) Click on the first colour
    5) Memorise the number down the bottom it'll be a hex address
    6) Swap the background colour with the first colour (don't copy and paste)
    7) Hit ok and paste the image bagk in

    I'm back! :D
Don't worry, I know that secretly you are sighing. ;D

Anyways, how do I bring up my sprite's palette in Photoshop? I still don't know how to change it to make the green background the first colour of the palette. Because when I change the first colour, which is usually black, it makes my outlines green. So I don't really know how to fix it.

Well, I know that the first colour is the transparent one, but in Flareon's palette, the pink was about half-way through it. :O
Don't worry. Just me and my curiosity.
Anyways, I have to go. Seeya 'round!

Well, I'm not entirely sure how .png compression works but as a rule of thumb if you make the sprite smaller (I don't mean the dimensions of the image file) than the one you are replacing, the file size should be smaller.

Those colours are the first in the pallete right? Those colours are the "transparent" colour. When the rom reads an image it takes the first colour in the pallete to be the transparent colour so every pixel that uses that colour will be invisible in-game. Its almost always used as the background colour.

    Alright then. Thanks again!

So, for a smaller file, I should have the sprite around about the same size?
And I have also noticed that some Pokemon have palettes that have pink in it, like Flareon's palette, and it doesn't have any pink on it whatsoever. How does this work?

I think to insert a sprite over an old one the file size must be smaller. Its always a good idea to insert something to empty space anyway. If you accidentally change data it could corrupt your rom. You'll just have to insert it into some empty space.

xD Okay. Well, the outlines were weird. And didn't meet up properly. But now when I try to re-insert the sprite, it says it's too big like it did with the Rattata. Do you know why? Is it because of the file size?
If so, how do I fix it?

It doesn't look all that different does it?

I think it might be just because of GBA's colour restrictions. You can only use RGB values that are multiples of 8. I guess the colours that didn't fit had their RGB values rounded to 8, changing the colour ever so slightly.

Thats really the only explanation I can think of.

    Wait, wait! It's working!!!!!!!!
Although, the thing is, it is not good quiality looking. I'll upload it and show you.
But I also run into the ?'s. So I should try to get rid of it.
    Thank you so much!

Thats really weird then. It might be something wrong with your rom. If you want send me a patch and I'll see what the problem is.

Yep, it's Zubat. And I also checked UnLZ-GBA and Zubat's sprite was the one I put in. Although, it looks mucked up. And no, I didn't change anything about it. D:
And I'm sorry if I take forever to reply. My internet's out of downloads, and it is going as slow as a snail. >.<

Thats strange, if you just replaced the sprite that shouldn't be happening. Did you change anything else about zubat? Double check that you are indeed encountering a zubat and not one of the 25 ??? Pokemon in A-Map.
