Alright. :) lol I think I'll go with Blastoise and test out a few different moves. And until I can get a Squirtle I'll use Magcargo. Now for the hard part - breeding and training them. lol Thanks so much for your help. It's nice to have someone to bounce my ideas off of.

I don't like to suggest anything too strongly because it is your team after all. But all of those pokemon you just listed are very viable. It's just a matter of which one you think will work best. A defensive blastoise could help with your lack of water moves and still provide some good support. I personally like the utility set, which is the first set smogon lists, but again it's up to you. You really just have to test stuff out and see if it works or not. Like I said, I'm not the best with UU stuff =X

Kecleon actually has pretty good special defense, at least compared to other UU pokemon, but it's regular defense is just okay. Considering an Aggron as well, since their defense is great, but the only problem with using one is that then a strong fire type could easily blow away both of my defensive pokemon. So maybe not, actually. lol

What about Magcargo? Give it Light Screen/Recover/Overheat/something else... maybe Earthquake? If Meganium has Reflect instead of Light Screen, then Magcargo could cover the other side of the defenses. Then it can use Overheat once to deal major damage, but Earthquake's power won't be affected afterwards, so it'd still be safe to use. I do already have a fire type in Rapidash, though. And no water types. (sorry, I'm working this out as I type because then you can see the way I'm thinking when making selections and you can help me with the things I overlook)

Not that I have a Squirtle, but how bout Blastoise @ Chesto Berry? Give it, say, Rest/Surf/Earthquake/Ice Punch? It's not a very defensive moveset, but it's best stats are defensive, so maybe that, along with some EV training, would be enough. I combined two of Smogon's movesets, so that it's more balanced as the final supporter. Without any water moves on my team, having Surf is probably a good idea. Earthquake can take out Electric types, and Ice Punch can take out Grass types.

Not sure which, if any, of these options would be best, so I'll leave it at that and see what you think. :)

I've never seen NP persian in battle, but it looks like it could be very effective. Resttalk Kecleon could work as well I suppose. I'd probably add another defensive pokemon in place of Zangoose anyway, since Meganium is really the only one who can take a few hits. If not Kecleon, there are many other options for good walls in UU, way too many to explain. Check to see if you can stick in something that compliments your team and offers some support ^___^

Thank you for the suggestions. =) The reason I used the Sunny Day combo on Rapidash is because I already have an abundance of Ponyta with that combo, and it'd be easier for me to get one of the right nature with decent IVs. Absol's new move set looks like it'll work well. Again I put the Fire Blast on it because it would be easy for me to get... but looking back on it Flamethrower would be better than Fire Blast if I were to use a fire type move anyway. But the new moveset looks better than mine, so I don't have to worry about that. lol

And as for a replacement for Zangoose... let me see what qualifies as UU and what I have/can obtain. *looks* Hm... what about a Persian?

    Persian @ Life Orb
    Ability: Technician
    Nature: Timid
    - Nasty Plot
    - Hypnosis
    - Swift
    - Water Pulse

Or, a little more unpredictable, what about a Kecleon? They have a huge move pool and a unique, if somewhat risky, ability. I've used my males for breeding TMs to other pokemon for ages, but since I have a Ditto, with enough breeding I could probably get a decent moveset on one if I tried. Maybe have: Return/Toxic/Rest/Sleep Talk? Just poison the foe, return until it gets weak, then rest and sleep talk for two turns, hopefully surviving until the poison makes the other pokemon faint.

It's definitely a decent start. If you're making a UU team, all of the team members have to be in the UU tier, otherwise it's considered OU =O

    Let's see....

I'll assume you put this in order of appearance, which means you're using Absol as a lead. Here's a good set for him:

    Absol @ Focus Sash
    Hasty
    Ability: Pressure
    4 HP / 252 Attack / 252 Speed
    Taunt
    Sucker Punch
    Counter
    Night Slash / Magic Coat

Focus Sash ensures that you won't be KO'd...and Taunt stops Stealth Rock set up leads by forcing them to attack. Then you can hit back with sucker punch or counter (counter only for physical attackers =P)

    Meganium looks fine ^__^

A sunny day set on rapidash might be a bit hard to pull off, but it still works I guess

    Seviper is cool.

A passing set on Swellow like that one is kind of risky, but if you can get starf berry pass to seviper, you pretty much win =P

Zangoose is the only member of your team that isn't UU, so he'll have to go. However, there are a few sword dancing options in UU that you could check out =D

Not bad for UU so far! I concentrate more on OU, so I can help you out a lot more if you decide to make a OU team.

Thanks. =) I used Smogon and decided to go with a mainly UU team. I am a bit limited since it's using D/P and I need to make sure that I can actually obtain the pokemon, and I'll admit I was a bit biased and I used quite a few of my favorites. Of course, the way I figure, I'll be more dedicated to a team of pokemon I like than to a team of pokemon I'm not as fond of.

    Absol @ Life Orb
    Ability: Super Luck
    Nature: Adamant
    - Fire Blast
    - Sucker Punch
    - Superpower
    - Night Slash/Psycho Cut

    Meganium @ Leftovers
    Ability: Overgrow

    - Energy Ball
    - Aromatherapy
    - Light Screen/Reflect
    - Synthesis

    Rapidash @ Life Orb

Basically, you need to strike some sort of balance when constructing a team....covering all your bases so to speak. That means you need to have just the right amount of attacking and defending power, both on the physical and special side. For example, you don't want too many physical attackers on your team or else you might be walled easily by one of you opponent's pokemon. So for every physical attacker you add to your team, add a special attacker as well. Same thing goes for defensive pokemon. There are literally endless amounts of choices, so it would be silly for me to try to make a team for you. What you should do is but together a team and try to strike that balance so that you can deal with all types of threats. Don't worry if it's not perfect, but it'll give me something to work off of so I can help you out a bit better. =D

That being said, if you need some help for movesets for specific pokemon, you can look at www.smogon.com . They have an excellent strategy pokedex with lots of effective movesets that you can use. When you have a team together, you can send it to me and I'll look over it. ^____^

Thanks. =) My main problem right now is trying to figure out a decent team for wi-fi. I think once I get a decent team I can start learning better, but from just reading I haven't found any good explainations on how to make a solid team from scratch.

Sorry about the registrations for the Charizard Academy being closed...But if you still need help with anything, you can always send me a VM. It won't be "official" per-say, but I'd still be happy to help ^____^
