November 18th, 2009 3:55 PMMegaMaccerAhh brilliant ^^ Umm, did you happen to do a Gym for me? I can't exactly remember whether you did or not... If not, could you do one? ^^ It's a grass gym.

November 16th, 2009 9:53 PMMegaMaccerHey there, just thought I'd let you know Torzach's back in action, and I'm wondering if you're still with us ^^
-
July 4th, 2009 8:42 PMMegaMaccerHehe, that was completely my reaction as well ^^
Actually, I have no idea how he does it, but I'm sure it can't be done through XSE. I'm just gonna tell him what I want done, when I want it done, and he'll do it :P I'm sure I could get him to do something similar for you ^^ Like I said, he's amazing with that sort of thing. He's not completely done it yet, he's still hacking the bike and surfing sprites, but once he's done there, I'll try and get him to help you out with it, yeah? Glad to be of service *salutes* -
July 4th, 2009 8:36 PMckret2That's... he just changed his... Holy crap. A clothes shop. That is seven layers of pure awesome on a stick. Actually, yes, that would be PERFECT for ToxicPurple. There's a timeskip of three years in the middle of the game. I'd thought that it would be really cool to make the sprites/OWs of the main characters "grow up" a little over the time skip, since adolescents change a lot over three years, but didn't think there was even the slightest chance it'd be possible...! That's amazing. Does that script take any hex editing, or is it something that you can do with XSE alone?

July 4th, 2009 8:22 PMMegaMaccerWell yeah, having it for a MewTwo battle like that could be a major issue :P I'll get'm to look into it, we should have an answer soon for ya. I was thinking as well, soon as how I'm in a generous mood :P We've got this little something Gabe's workin' on, you can find the video link in my latest post on Torzach. Would you be interested in something like that for TP? Perhaps a new uniform or something...? Just let me know ^^

July 4th, 2009 8:11 PMckret2Yeah, you can just catch it over and over. Big issue, there. Especially since I hope to use the same script on a couple of Mewtwo battles... I'd be eternally grateful if you could get him to look at the script and try to find a solution. Thanks.
As to being able to steal Pokémon mid-battle, I actually don't think that'd be appropriate for the game anymore. After all, it'd be too easy to just catch any Pokémon you wanted, with an advantage like that. Plus it'd be a way to "cheat" out of tough battles. Don't want to beat the Trainer, then just catch their Pokémon and it's over.
Thanks again for getting Gabe C to look into the script. -
July 4th, 2009 7:51 PMMegaMaccerI don't say why you can't make that a decent tutorial ^^ It seems to have enough to it to me. With the problem, I don't know how to fix it. It is a fairly major problem, as essentially you could just catch it over and over, couldn't ya? :P I've got a friend, Gabe C, who's a scripting legend and excellent with ASM as well. I could get him to look into it, if you want? He could also look into removing the thing that stops you from being able to catch trainers pokemon mid-battle. Would you be interested in that?

July 4th, 2009 7:45 PMckret2Got a random question for you. I figured out how to make a script that makes it impossible to progress in the game until you beat a certain Pokémon, and people have been asking for a tutorial. In the ToxicPurple thread I explained the basics in this post. Do you think there's enough substance there to make a short tutorial, or should I get some more substance first?
One big problem with the script is that there's no way to prevent you from catching the Pokémon. If you catch it you'll still have to rebattle it and beat it to progress the game, but that's even weirder since you caught the Pokémon. -
June 5th, 2009 10:00 PMckret2Magically, my tools started working again. I don't know why they stopped working, I don't know why they resumed working, and I'm not complaining as long as they keep working. :D
A shrine! That sounds cool. Like, a traditional Japanese-looking type shrine, or some other style? What kind of tiles are you putting in? If it's just, say, new flooring and wallpaper, that sort of thing, I might be able to get to work on the shrine and then switch out my tiles with the new tiles when I get them. ... Or I could just wait, heh. Any other specifications for the shrine; what kind of people are running it, what the process/reason for getting a Pokémon is, what the shrine is in worship/recognition of, et cetera? -
June 5th, 2009 12:04 AMMegaMaccerHow's you manage with getting the hacking tools working? And I might have a job for you soon :D How does a shrine sound, using our new, soon-to-be-inserted tiles? It'll be where you get the starters.

May 25th, 2009 6:45 PMMegaMaccerGutting. Some of them don't even work on Vista all the time :\ Oh well, you'll find a way ^^
-
May 25th, 2009 6:36 PMckret2Right now, TP is being annoying. Or rather, my tools are. Darwine, which I've been using to run all my hacking tools, is suddenly just... failing to work on most of my tools. I double-click the tools to open them, Darwine pops open, and then nothing else happens. Pretty much the only tool not being affected by this is AdvanceMap.
If it weren't for that, I might have the next huge script finished by now, heh. -
May 25th, 2009 6:23 PMMegaMaccerHey there Ckret, haven't talked for a while ^^ Hows TP going?
