Actually I rejected going into RP'ing after seeing the really huge essays I should write to keep a decent story. Because if you struggle to write a post longer than four lines, you aren't ready for RP'ing. Specially with my computer screen size, it tooks me a decent effort to fulfill four lines.

You know, I had never heard of it. For what you tell me, it must be similar to the school I have been for all my life: university level exams, and a really high level (heck, all the people who passed 12 grade got a way into the univesity, while 35% of the people in the country who did the unniversity access exam failed it). Sadly, my high school diploma won't work in South Africa (XD), but at least the University diploma I hope to get in four years will work in all the EU.

Essays, I never had to do such size abut anything XD It would havve been hard for me to get used to that, seriously, but it would have been worse for most of my classmates. In the english tests (taken from the university, all of them, yeah), we had to write 200 words about a topic related to the text that hosted all the questions for the exam, and I always ended up spending twenty minutes looking at the ceiling completely bored XD But such journals? o_o
And social activities? I never had to do nothing like that in my scholl. I guess that your one must have been a specially good one. Was it a boarding school, maybe?
And the 5000 word research sounds to me as the final work the universities here require to give you an honorific com laude diploma XD

Breaking the character limit in a PM XD The first time I ever hear about that the only time I saw someone breaking that limit was when cutpasting all the text of a whole page in PC XD

And finally, it's good to see that somebody else has the duty to find and punish people writing short posts. Even if the number of words required for you to accept a post is probably 20 times bigger than mine XD

*Probably longest post I ever made in PC*

Sadly, it's not as common among RPers as I'd like it to be. *Has just come back from infracting two dudes for terrible, sub-length RPing D:* But...I do try my best to compensate. xD That being said...yeah, thank goodness it's not word counting around here yet. (though if a few people around here got their way it probably would <<)

As for the IB...that would be referring to the International Baccalaureate (fondly referred to as Intelligent BS among IBers). It's an international high school-level education program that's being run in schools all around the known world, with the idea of creating an internationally accepted standard for education. Haven't put it to the test, but my diploma from there should be just as good in, for instance, South Africa as it is here as far as job and university applications are concerned.

So anyway, the way I saw it it was basically like regular high school except it had better teachers, though in retrospect I've begun to realize just what kind of huge gap in the levels there is. (Our maths teacher, for instance, used university level exams for our tests xD) Also, if there is one thing the IB values, it is the ability to say awfully much about terribly little. I mean, not only did we have ginormous essays to write in virtually every subject, we also had to keep two separate journals, one for the extra-curricular activities (50 hours each of supervised sports/physical activity, creative work, and social service, all which we had to arrange on our own free time to earn the diploma) and one for our Theory of Knowledge class. That and we had to do independent research on a single topic and write a 5000-word essay on it, not to mention those countless icky lab reports we had to do in Physics. (and the far more fun labs about which said reports were written) To put it shortly...once you've made it through the IB, not having anything to say about something is a very rare problem. xD

Plus, I've always been kind of loquacious to begin with. I remember one time when I and good RPing friend of mine had a contest over who could write the longer IC. By the end of it, those posts were...just huge, to be honest. XP

We broke the upper character limit for PMs once too. Good times. XD

So yeah, wordy is what I aim for. I'm writing a guide about it with regards to RPing, actually, because there are lots of people in the section who can't string a proper paragraph together. For shame. :<

Actually, after a proper stalking of your profile, I have got truly interested on your ability XD
I, myself, am an usual of a board where I have to tell some people off for writing less than four words per post, so I'm not so used to seeing walls of text as you as a common RPer, I guess, so I'm surprised more easily XD

And I don't quite understand the meaning of "IB-education", sorry. Could you explain, please?
And yes, I'd like to see what can you do out of this XD

*Checks word* See? I couldn't beat you D:

What can I say? It's a talent. xD

How to say, my general mode of conversation on forums is rather...wordy (probably residue from all that RPing, or possibly my whole IB-education and the countless essays I've written over the years) so when I do get a message - especially a short one - I get this strange urge to really comment on all I can possibly give comment about regarding that message, not to mention that I usually add something of my own to the mix because just replying to something, period, is no way to maintain a conversation.

Wanna' see what kind of indomitable wall I can make out of this? XD *Shot*

I'm amazed by how you are able to turn simple profile comments into true walls of text after a few replies.
