haha jk, lol @ random leet speak.

Hell yeah you bet I'd be interested! Broken had me drawn in the entire time, and so I certainly wouldn't mind reading another chapterfic from you. And that's actually an excellent idea that I've picked up on recently, writing a whole lot of chapters before releasing them. That's what I've been doing, and I'm about to start writing Chapter 10 to my fic, while I've only released up to 5.

STOP GIVING ME FUZZIES I'M STARTING TO FEEL I DON'T DESERVE THEM oAo

In related news, what we were talking about was making me want to write something darker (in terms of chapterfic) and I've been writing up a pretty detailed synopsis. I like the look of it, and was wondering if you'd be interested in reading a longer piece of work with that darker sort of edge to it that Broken had to a certain extent.

(and there is no goddamn way I'm dropping CG to do this, but I think I can manage two at the moment. CG's doing well, and I'd probably write most of this next project before posting it.)

No problem dude, I honestly have confidence that you'll be one of the people to surpass their own greatest lengths and be one of the great authors out there.

Thanks for the confidence. It's a real help to know someone thinks I can do it.

Like I've said before, I wish you luck with this fanfic. I'm sure you'll have no trouble joining those long running greats, haha.

Same here, it's just such a simple pleasure no matter what you're working on, I think it helps well in channeling any emotion.

The idea is to have it run as long as I can. In terms of the fanfiction world, my eventual goal is to be one of those long-running, established authors in the league of Breezy and Dragonfree and the like. Ah, that'd be nice . . . Yeah, but it's definitely a long-term project, unlike anything I've tried to do before. XD

That really is the best part. I write because I love it, and that's all I can really put it down to. :D

That's gonna be a lot of chapters to keep up with, haha. It will be interesting to see what other unexpected events could occur.

Yep, and the most grand thing is how much fun you have working on it from beginning end till you can't be more satisfied with the result.

Yeah, that's how I've been riding the late beginning/early middle of Champion Game - pretty much on the fly. The thing I'm agonising over most now is how long I want it to be. I mean, I could make it go for the full year that Ren's Champion, which would take aaaaaages (like 1000 chapters ffs. Well, by the current rate, one year would take . . . *maths* 3405 chapters. Shoot.), or I could condense it into a fic that basically follows the plot far more closely. In that case, it would only go for maybe 120-180 chapters? Still heaps . . . depends on the reception I guess. My impulse is to go for the latter, have some form of conclusion be reached, and then fast forward to the following year's League Championships. At that stage, I'll see whether I want to continue it. If I do, he wins. If not, he is defeated and must step down. Of course, that still leaves room for a sequel, either with Ren or with the new Champion.

Yeah, one of the best things about the arts is just how much they evolve when you're doing them. Whether it's music, writing, drama or visual art, the end product almost never ends up the way you intended it. Even Champion Game is already vastly different to how I imagined it would be when I started.

Oh really? Well you'll probably get the craziest or coolest of ideas when not knowing what to expect next. That's exactly how writing has been for me, be it songs or fics.

Oh I didn't know that XD Damn, then I just might have to enter this years competition! Of course, I still have obligation to finish what I've started here, haha. Finishing up a piece of work sure is some hard work. The thing I like about writing, is that no matter what it is, it could be completely different by the end, you know? Like there is this one song I've been working on since August of last year, and I'm just now getting into the final stages of writing it, and it's WAYY different from what it was when it started. It started off as a song about insanity and then turned into a song about a fallen friend.

Alright, thanks. I just felt it appropriate to ask considering you're fic is where I directly got inspiration from. And I didn't really think about it that way till now, but that really does make a lotta sense :D

I feel proud of getting this far - I'm notorious for dropping fics at quite early stages. I write just enough to get people interested, and then I drop them. However, I've gotten over that stage, hopefully - I'm now at the part of the story in Champion Game where things start to happen, and . . . I'm lost. XD I've never got to the midgame before, so to speak, and I actually have little clue how to handle it. D: But we'll manage.

Well, there's no real obligation to finish what you start! XD With NaNo, they're happy as long as you get stuff written down. And it's true that it really does help - my first NaNo, in 2009, ended at just over 50k words and really got me into writing in a big way. I came back to NaNo last year and did 127,649 words in the month. (Turns out that was more than anybody else in New Zealand XDDD)

Oh shoot, dude, go for it. I can't tell you what not to do, and I wouldn't if I could. They say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but I think taking inspiration from something and making it your own is better yet. =D

Haha yeah, but the only thing is, I'm too lazy to actually go and search, haha. Free time is awesome, I'm up to chapter 5 right now. And 100 pages? Hell yeah, that's hella awesome!

Yeah, but I wanna be confident enough to know I can actually complete something, so I probably won't think about entering until I'm done with my Legends of Kanto fic. I honestly haven't worked on it that much recently, I've been reading a lot more to refresh my ideas and even working on a couple one shots.

So hey, I got a question- while I was reading Broken, I actually got an idea for my own Mightyena one-shot, though it ends differently. Anyways, the idea stemmed from your description of Mightyena hunting in the forest, so I was was wondering, would you mind if I used the concept of it hunting like the Mightyena you described for like, the base character of this one shot idea that popped into my head?

I guess it woudn't be all that hard to find . . . XD And yay! Free time is good! Free time allotted to my stuff is better still! \o/ (You know, CG reached 100 pages in OpenOffice yesterday XD)

Yeah, NaNo's great. And there are people on there who have no idea how to speak proper English, let alone write a cohesive book, so you'd in good stead. XD

I try to do 2,000 words a day, and if I have a couple hours before bed when I have nothing else pressing to do, I always try and get as much writing done as I can, because that's when my writing brain works best.

While I may not know the name, I am experienced at internet creeping- I bet you I could find it if I tried hard enough XD homework sucks, but good luck with the nation newspaper thing. You know, I finally have some free time today to read up on some CG chapters :D

I might have to compete in that one day when I'm more confident of my writing abilities, it sure sounds interesting and fun. So when you say exams, I take it you're taking college classes, or are you just in a really tough high school? haha

Someone constantly striving for their greater goal is something I always like to hear, because that's a goal for me as well- however different our paths directions may be.

Is writing 1,000 words before bed like an every night goal for you? lol

afaik, half of them weren't even posted here. I had a stint at Bulbagarden under a name you'll never find, so that's where some of them ended up. XD Yeah, the horror one's on a bit of a backburner right now due to homework, national newspaper short story competitions, and Champion Game, though.

NaNoWriMo is National Novel Writing Month. It's not a competition in the sense of having someone judged the 'best' - if you reach 50,000 words in a month, you win. Done. And each year there's a few thousand more winners. It's a really friendly community, and it fosters writing like you wouldn't believe. Unfortunately I'll be unable to compete properly this November, thanks to piles of exams, but it's something I plan to do every year for the rest of my life otherwise. (stupid NaNo being in the middle of NZ exam season).

Aaaah, you flatter me too much. I know I'm a competent writer, but being a good (or great) writer is the goal towards which I'm always moving. Also, no matter how good I may or may not be, it means nothing if I can't damn well finish it. :x

That said, off to finish this History assignment so I can sit down and write another 1,000 words before bed. :D

Well, I like visualizing any Pokemon battle, now matter how it's written, haha. Well, it looks like I'mma hafta stalk your thread posts so I can read some of these bad boys. I'm looking forward to the Horror one you're working on.

So I'm probably gonna sound like a noob when I say this, but what is NaNoWriMo? I know it's like some kind of writing competition or something, but I don't know exactly what is is. Otherwise, I wish I could read those hell-of-a lot-of-words novs/fics, they sound interesting. I must say, I'm impressed by what a good writer you are, I could definitely learn a couple things from you!
