February 25th, 2010 7:59 PMCalibanI... haven't got a snowball's chance in hell of knowing how to answer that. XD
Indiana Jones is cool, though. The most recent Indy movie that I watched involved the aforementioned party getting the Hebrew Box of Doom out of the Egyptian Sarcophagus of Doom and then steadfastly refusing to look at it while Nazis disintegrated and flew around the room in a whirl of blue light. :D -
February 25th, 2010 12:28 AMAstinusYour name made me think of a line from my favorite Indiana Jones movie, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.
"KALI MAAAAAA!" -
February 22nd, 2010 11:53 PMCalibanWow, you've managed to avoid the countless throngs of Solarian robots? :O
I'd have thought that you'd have a hard time not kicking them solely by accident as you walked through the grassy fields. XD -
February 22nd, 2010 10:57 PMAstinusI don't have any robots yet. :'(
Flightless birds are muy delicioso! -
February 22nd, 2010 9:14 PMCalibanWhy aren't the robots killing you already? Or are you a Solarian? :O
[EDIT]
It feels strange to read comments like that because, although I know intellectually that many peoples around the world use that term for the fruit, it gives me the sense that you're drinking juice with bits of a kiwi/Kiwi mixed in. XD -
January 25th, 2010 3:57 AMCalibanLol, I just searched oscilloscope on Pokecommunity and your conversation with bobandbill comes up.

November 24th, 2009 1:43 AMCalibanNo, my intention was to say that Asimov is one of my favourite authors of all time and that I was glad that you were reading that series because it's pretty much one over-arching series of stories of various lengths (including pretty much everything from Lost Little Robot onwards) that culminates (I think) in Foundation and Earth.
Because I don't want to clutter up your profile...
Spoiler:
Though I still don't know what you read aside from Sims (Andy pooping babies and generally acting normally weirdly ftw), OSC books, Digimon and Pokemon fanfiction. I'd assumed you read a lot beside that, of course.
Most people nearby me assume I'm either watching porn (on my netbook), reading Star Wars books (when I'm usually actually on some random Greek myth-based story which I picked up from the library), doing schoolwork (when I'm browsing PC or reading Asimov ebooks) or playing Pokemon (when I am actually doing schoolwork). XD
I suppose some of the confusion is because I often bring a different book to school each day (having finished yesterday's), and the guys in my class assume it's the same thing.
It was quite funny when one my classmates accused me of playing Age of Empires in class because of the desktop wallpaper and then thought I was actually doing work when multiple USB cables were snaking out across the room to my friends' iPods, which I happened to be stealing the music off.
So the only people who I know of who seem to know which book I'm actively reading are Thomas (MW) and my English teacher, who likes to confiscate them so that I have to switch to ebooks. Not that he knows that, of course.
This is all helped along by a nice li'l desktop manager called Dexpot. :D
And of course, Science is the one subject where the students can (literally) have a gay orgy off in an alcove to the side without the teacher noticing. As long as you stay in the room and don't break anything, whatever you feel like doing is fine by her. Now that exams are over she's playing District 9 for us on the data projector. :D
These days, most of the class spend Science playing cards, dancing, disproving the theory of general relativity or working on breaking WPA encryption.
Wow, I think that this is the longest VM that I've ever written! :O
Not counting copy-and-pasting of The Meaning of Liff to Citrinin, that is.
So, what do you read in your spare time? Anything you would recommend?
Also:
and will be coming soon. -
November 23rd, 2009 10:35 PMAstinusThat totally makes it seem like I don't read anything but Card books, and the fact that I'm reading non-Card books is truly something amazing.
Still, I'm happy to be reading them as well. -
November 23rd, 2009 9:29 PMCalibanI am happy that you're reading the Foundation books. :3
-
November 14th, 2009 11:35 PMCalibanOic. You were someone's writing buddy, so... XD

November 14th, 2009 11:15 PMAstinusAh, my old name that I lost the password for. And even then, I'm not participating in NaNo anymore. Don't have the time these days.
-
November 14th, 2009 10:47 PMCalibanIndeed. I pasted the wrong image, sorry. XD;
Fixed now. :D -
November 14th, 2009 10:46 PMAstinusNey? Is this about NaNo?
-
November 14th, 2009 10:43 PMCaliban
SHAME ON YOU ASTINUS!
XD
Or is it just that you've refrained from uploading so that you get a really steep graph at the end? :3 -
September 11th, 2009 11:45 AMCalibanNope. Can't say that I have.Go listen to it at the first chance you get!
So, after Digimon met Sims, you found OSC? And then it was a Simsy orgy with OSC-Digimon-Sims?
[EDIT:] Sorry... I s'pose that I was too off-topic in suggesting that we try to influence world politics from Wordpress...
