February 27th, 2009 7:20 PMSnow PhoenixLet's see I would say I'm pretty well-rounded; I like Biology, Chemstry, World Religions, World Culture, Philosphy, Romance Languges, Asian Languages, Poetry, Clever Essays about society, Tragedies, Comedies, and Complex Maths.
She wasn't really she was probably just trying to appeal to an Americans love of violence. It was really bad that she did so, but shes not a bad person just kind of dim and fairy-tailish.
Yeah, I know that.
I feel the same way about Russia as you do. There were some good ideas about it, but then there was corruption.
Yep that is a PERFECT EXAMPLE! *Burries Monkey's Turtwig in ten inches of Ice*
I see what you were trying to do there, but maybe if you prove them wrong by speaking english you could show them that you are capable of speaking english and not French. Also you could properly explain that all you have is an accent and that so do you (The person your speaking to). As well as point out the difference in Florida's english and Newyork's. I'm sure you've noticed the difference and it kinda is wrong to make fun of accents! Also New york has a high population of JERKS!
I wish my Diamond hadn't gotten stolen... I could beat you anytime with my hail team... *Laughs Manically*
Wait you just did a Mira thing and you don't know her. -
February 27th, 2009 6:48 PM98monkey1I LOVE history so much...Science, meh. It depends what you're talking about in science.
Wow, your english teacher sounds kind of bad. That's a horrible thing to say, even if it is a joke.
But not all non-Jewish Germans are nazi...
Well, Russia is democratic today, and communism isn't exactly evil. I'm not pro for it, but it's just a way to set up a government that is usually trying to be fair for all people. And you mean the games were you put thinks in these: *? Example: *Attacks Frozen's Swinub and kills it* I have an evil mind...
They don't just make fun of my accent. Apparentally everyone thinks were French. I went to New York from Niagra, and they talked like I spoke French. Like this: "Dooooo youuuu waaant aaaa straaaaaw wiiith thaaaat?" Well not exactly those words, but they spoke like that to me. So usually when they do that, I just say: "Oui (Yes) Je Faire, Pierre" In my best english accent. I know it seems wierd, but their reaction is funny and then there like "Oh sorry" and walk away...But I've met ALOT of Americans. I've been to New York, Lake Buena Vista in Florida, some places in Michigan, Olympia (Washington State), and I went to Washington D.C. on a class field trip. Because you see, I live in the capitol of Canada, so we wanted to see the Capitol of America, lol.
*Laughs Manically* I have the perfect Glaceon...EV trained, level 100, given all the boosts like iron and calcium, and it knows Blizzard, Ice Beam, Iron Tail, and Mirror Coat. Strongest Glaceon alive! Muhahahahaha -
February 27th, 2009 3:39 PMSnow PhoenixYeah, I know... I'm actually better at science than history... funny isn't it. I actually still might want to be a biologist.
I had an english teacher who made us watch a movie on the holocaust before and when it caught to the part where they were shooting babies she said "Isn't that cool?". She was a little wierd, but she wasn't pro-killing babies.
Yeah, if she hadn't lived I wouldn't be alive! Funny thing was she married a non-jewish german.
We're studying about Russia in my history class. It reminds of a kid in my old middle school who would always shout "Communism is EVIL!" Okay let's play one of those crazy games... It's usually Mira who starts them. Look at our conversations to see how crazy some of them get. They're a bit down, but you should be able to find them if you look hard enough ;).
What a shame! Que Lastima! They probably make fun of your accent... not cool! Dang I wish you could actually meet some good americans... Not all of them are bad just ignorant ones! How many americans would you say you've met? -
February 27th, 2009 3:18 PM98monkey1Pangea does get pretty boring to me sometimes, lol.
It's pretty sad :( Hitler killed and tortured alot of innocent people...
Well, it's good she survived :P My grandfather was in World War II when he was in his 20's. He survived, and he was on the front lines.
Oh. Northern Florida...We went to Florida during the winter and it was pretty hot. I couldn't survive in the summer. I'm used to Canadian weather ;)
We should go on a debate about something else next, lol. Or maybe play some of those crazy games. Smart talk make brain hurt ;)
Meh...Well, I like you. I'm not racist or prejudice, but I'm going to be honest here. All Americans I've met that were born in the United States of America have been, well, kind of jerks. I mean met in person, not online. -
February 27th, 2009 2:11 PMSnow PhoenixOkay.
No, my Great Grandmother was. It was either because she was Jewish or a Gypsy. I can't remember which.
Yeah, some pretty rough stuff went on thier, but my great grandmother survived.
I live in the capital of Florida, Tallahassee. I would say its the northern part.
So what would you like to discuss next? Or would you like to share in some of the mindless, but fun and crazy games :P. This involve logic and it will take a while before you get the hang of it.
Also someone told me another stereotype: Most Canadians don't like Americans... You like me don't you? BTW I won't really believe it until you tell me if its true or not. -
February 27th, 2009 12:14 PM98monkey1Alright, let's get off of Pangea for a while. And your grandma was in a concentration camp? That's horrible :( My great grandfather's cousin was killed in a gas chamber...But a concentration camp is just torture...I'd rather be in a gas chamber then in one of those camps.
What part of Florida do you leave in? North, south, east, or west? My aunt and uncle live in Palm Beach, but we never visited... -
February 27th, 2009 4:05 AMSnow PhoenixI know what you mean by time effecting the course of history. You've got a great point the only thing I was trying to say though is that through the Geography of the world after Pangea split that those events were possible to happen and those people have had thier personalities. Once I begin discussing Geography you'll see what I mean.
Also the Geography includes place :P
I don't really know as much about modern Judaism, but know its start as well as some traditions of it. I mostly know Buddhism and Christianity. Sure we can talk about World War II some time. My Great Grandmother was in a concentration camp.
Another thing I've realized is that you like talking about hypotheticals like what if. I didn't know that you would be talking about hypotheticals and so I was explaining rather than thinking about what if happened or ot happen. I'll try to remember it in our disscussions ;).
Its okay. Sometimes I wish I could be a bit more agressive. I was worried about being mean so I tried to avoid telling you what I thought was flawed at the time. -
February 26th, 2009 7:12 PM98monkey1How do we know there were not Native Americans during the time period we are talking about? We often base things off of evidence and our thinking, but new things are discovered everyday. We can be wrong. We really can.
I don't mean to be rude, but I did not say Columbus was the first to discover North America. I questioned whether North America would be the same or not if he failed to reach it. The Vikings did reach Canada, and North America before anyone else did, but they didn't share that to the English or French. But Columbus was paid by the Queen and King of Spain to find a way to make sea-fare quicker so they could trade with the Indies better. But I did not say that Columbus was the first to discover the Americas. There would have been other Europeans to discover North America, I agree, but the time period would be different. If Columbus failed to reach North America, people might have thought he fell off the edge of the Earth, and would have been too afraid to try and go west. So that could have made the time period different by a span of 30 years or more.
You have to remember, everything is not just the geograpy's effect. If history were changed by 5 years, then our world could be different. And what if the Europeans decided to travel across land to India? Then Africa could have not been discovered by the Europeans for a long time after the original date. Everything has to do with time and place. Maybe if European countries had different kings or queens, and they were less "Adventurous" and didn't wish to spend money on Navigation, then other countries would have been discovered by different people.
Like I said above, everything has to do with time and place, not just geography. Many things couldn't have been discovered if it were not the right time or place.
Yeah, we can talk about this more. I'm really interested in to World War II, so we should talk about the outcome if certain things hadn't happened. And I don't know much about world religions, but my mother's side is Christian, and my father's side is Jewish. We're kind of a bi-religion family...It's really wierd. Hannakuh and Christmas, Bar Mitzvah and Birthday...It's kind of akward lol.
Sometimes I seem mean when I argue, but that's just when I am trying to make a point :) -
February 26th, 2009 6:23 PMSnow PhoenixActually his SU wasn't as bad as his last one... Don't get me wrong his SU was TERRIBLE, but better than his previous one... His previous one had the ability to kill you just by looking at it!
He also did a better job at not looking like Machop, but he used the same number and once again he only targeted me and my family. -
February 26th, 2009 6:17 PM98monkey1*Whispers* You know who is back...And got banned. Look under my post *Shivers* And I hope you don't see the SU on your thread...It's scary. Too scary.

February 26th, 2009 6:17 PMSnow PhoenixAbout Pangea... A few things you mentioned were a little off to me...
First you mentioned Native Americans...
I hope you don't mind it, but the reason partly that there were Native Americans was because of the Americas geography. Geography is also what made it logical for Europe and Asia to have developed first. Also there are a few possible suggestions of African influence. If you would like I can expand on this.
Also you mentioned Columbus finding America. He was not the first man to have discovered America. The vikings were and also even if Columbus did not exist there are other indications of Europeans discovering America like Portugals accidental discovery of Brasil which was possible when one of the Portugese strayed of course on thier way to Africa.
Next you mentioned the colonization of Africa. Africa had been involved with the Islamic kingdom before on its own accord. When the crusades had been in effect and invasions were made in the Islam causing an increase in knowledge leading to the renaissance. Maps were something important the west obtained from Islam and they included the knowledge of Africa of which western europe had neither made colonies or new much about. It also spurred interest in sailing to India which also led to some colonization of Africa. Once I again the geography helped in playing its part.
Next you mentioned Africas supply of gems. Yes they could have been used to thier advantage, however, the major African Kingdoms became Islamic and spreaded thier wealth to the Islamic Kingdom via the pilgrimage to Mecca. This is probably another point that led to the colonization of Africa which once again was put in place by the Geography.
Don't worry I'll talk to you a bit more about Geography and its important role. BTW how much do you know about world religons? I personally know quite a bit because most of the relatives on my dads side were Buddhist and so I became interested in learning about other religons like Buddhism which originated in India.
I really don't like pointing out flaws, but I would eventually have to. Feel free to make any arguments to defend yourself :). -
February 26th, 2009 5:40 PMSnow PhoenixRhyperior out of those two... If my diamond hadn't gotten stolen I would be competing with my hail team! I love my Froslass!
I'll VM you again in just a bit! I've got to do something real quick! -
February 26th, 2009 5:36 PM98monkey1Hey. I have an upcoming battle where I need to battle with 1 pokemon...Thinking of using Rhyperior, or Ditto. Which would you advise, lol?
(P.S. Do you want to talk about Pangea now? :) ) -
February 26th, 2009 4:42 PMSnow PhoenixYeah, I know what you mean... I don't really use my Email anyways :P
Ah, I've been busy taking and studying for tests. My mom makes me go to bed at 10. I think we might be in the same time zone.
Time is precious, isn't it? It's the one thing you can never get a refund on :P
But, Latin is european... It's still not a modern language so I guess you only like modern European languages. Latin is classical and it's the predessor to most european languages. Habeas Corpus... Cogito ergo sum... It's important to know some Latin. Oh, also here's something to... The word for to do is Facio, Facere, Feci, Factum. What word might that remind you in French ;). In Spanish its Hacer because the e at the end was dropped and the f was replaced with an h. There are some other interesting things about the relationship between the three ;).
Okay!
Lucky... I was mostly only complaining though because my school was forced to drop its seventh period! I now only have one elective and am having trouble deciding on what to take next year... -
February 26th, 2009 4:27 PM98monkey1Meh. I've learned sometimes it isn't wise giving your e-mail to anyone that looks at it ;)
Yeah, I've been busy lately too. I'm more busy during the 5-8 P.M. And this week, I'm free mostly all times besides that except when I go to my friends house, because I have school off this week :) But you usually leave PC by like 10:30, so I can't talk to you :(
Yeah, but then you use up all your time, but still, you learn alot
No, I don't take Latin. I'm not that in to the langauges of the Americas, but I'm more in to European langauges.
Ah, I see. Well, if I leave PC I'll tell you, alright? :)
Canada really hasn't been effected by the world economy. Canada's really into computers, and computers aren't really effected either. Really the only car companies are by Windsor, and I'm far from Windsor. And the Loonie (Our dollar...Stupid name lol) is higher then the U.S. dollar. And our housing market is better. Sorry if it seems as if I am bragging. Just dishing out the facts.
