March 14th, 2009 12:12 PMLucentBecause of Oak. 'Cause you need to talk to him at his place in Eterna in order for them to start flying around XD But they're level 60, and that darn Zapdos is faster than my Crobat >.>
And there aren't new Regis, but you can find the original trio in Sinnoh if you get the event Regigigas into Plat. Which I can actually do =D I just need to trade with my friends over Wi-Fi >.>
And yeah, Shaymin Sky Forme. I love it's cry so much ; ; But I can't change the Shaymin I caught in Diamond to Sky Forme. It stinks.
Oh, and the new Wi-Fi room thing is pretty fun :3 I like being one of the few Americans in a room full of Japanese people XD -
March 14th, 2009 12:09 PMBHwolfgangYou can catch the Kanto Birds? :O What the-?! How do they involve themselves in the game? There are new Regis?
Do you mean Shaymin Sky Form? -
March 14th, 2009 12:01 PMLucentPokesav? You can make your own AR codes, though there are some that don't work (like getting the event Poketch things).
Speaking of which, did you know that one Luvdisc Poketch app. is available in Platinum? You need to catch five Pokemon in one game at the Great Marsh and someone will give it to you. Brilliant, no?
You can catch the three legendary keepers (that's what I call them), the psychic trio (OK, to be honest, Crobat will be most helpful; the only Psychic move any of them know is Future Sight, and I could catch Mesprit without wasting the Master Ball), the three birds from Kanto, Cresselia, Regigigas (needing the three regis), Heatran, the regis (not the same ones needed to get the Regigigas, but you need an event Regigigas, which they happen to be giving away at Toys 'R' Us right now, to get the regis), and I believe that's it.
Speaking of which, one of my friends still needs to trade me back that event Shaymin into Plat. so I can hear it's pwnsome cry in it's sky forme >.> -
March 14th, 2009 11:55 AMBHwolfgangOh? So, you can catch Dialga and Palkia in Platinum, huh? That's interesting....!!!
What's this Pokésav you're talking about? -
March 14th, 2009 11:46 AMLucentIn 3rd gen. games and above, of course XD Platinum not included, mind you, since I don't think there are any cheats for a Japanese version of a game. Or at least ones I don't know about, though Pokesav might have something to do with it...
But at most I catch cheated legendaries to trade over to one of my 4th gen. games, and I use cheats to get the event items to unlock certain Pokemon. I prefer capturing the Pokemon without cheats, though, in 4th gen. games 'cause it's more fun that way.
Speaking of which, I caught Dialga with a Timer Ball and Palkia with a Luxury Ball today in Plat. -
March 14th, 2009 11:43 AMBHwolfgangHave you ever tried chaining?
-
March 14th, 2009 11:33 AMLucentXD
Chaining isn't exactly cheating, it's just a way to get shiny Pokemon more easily. One would intend to find a shiny if they chain. If they just use the Poke Radar for other purposes, or don't have one at all and run into a shiny, then it's not intended.
Cheating would probably mean using an AR XD -
March 14th, 2009 9:27 AMBHwolfgangI have Magical Melody. XD It's so fun~~~<3
True, but is it possible to ignore the Red Gyarados?
Well, isn't chaining cheating? -
March 14th, 2009 9:08 AMLucentI own the first two ones released, and I still want Magical Melody ; ;
If the players didn't encounter the Red Gyarados in a second gen. game, then I have a right to believe they were cheating XD
Compared to my one friend, though, I'm not really lucky. He's managed to find a load of shinies without even trying (then again, the same was with me...). And the closest I ever came to actually TRYING to get a shiny was chaining 22 Shinx in Diamond. Then a stupid Starly came along and broke the chain >.> -
March 14th, 2009 9:05 AMBHwolfgangHave you ever played the GameCube version of Harvest Moon? It's so addicting and long!
Yes, the Red Gyarados is what most players encounter in their life.
You're luckier than me, but that's not saying much. XD -
March 14th, 2009 9:00 AMLucentTwo Final Fantasy ones that I just about beat, and my two Nintendogs games XD (yes, I miss the puppies, but I still have my Harvest Moon DS game ; ;)
I've only encountered the Red Gyarados (in the second gen. games, of course), POSSIBLY a shiny Zubat in Gold (but I was stupid enough not to catch it and figure out if it was shiny or not >.>), a shiny Floatzel in Diamond (I was using the Poke Radar for Ditto, and ended up finding a shiny Floatzel and still managing to get the Ditto along with it), and I have a shiny Glaceon and Roserade in Pearl, but those were traded to me. And a shiny Wobbuffet in Diamond that was also traded to me. Oh, and of course the Girafarig XD
But I'm not as lucky as some. -
March 14th, 2009 8:57 AMBHwolfgangWow. That's quite wise of you. What are those four games?
Really?! You are so lucky! I only encountered a Shiny Zubat. D: -
March 14th, 2009 8:53 AMLucentYeah, Spybot's anti-spyware and the like. There are some malware programs that try to copy it.
XD Hey, I got it back on December 30. Cost me 60 bucks, but I had 20 and sold 4 games I didn't want for another 40 XD
And I found a shiny Girafarig in Plat. too, no Poke Radar required! It was while I was on my way down to Wake's gym XD -
March 14th, 2009 8:49 AMBHwolfgangSpybot? Isn't that some kind of anti-virus or something?
You have Platinum? That Gyarados will hate you for all eternity. XD -
March 14th, 2009 8:42 AMLucentXD Well, it has given me some viruses. But with Spybot it's been fine XD
I've been fine; I'm temporarily with my dad for the weekend since I have to go back down to NC tomorrow. But it's fine. I also beat the E4 in Platinum last night, and I want to find a level 99 Magikarp in the Resort Area, so I can get a level 100 Gyarados with cruddy stats XD (I'll still use my Milotic anyways >.>).
