April 8th, 2010 3:04 PMBHwolfgangI had always assumed that BinaryPeaches was a man. ;; Oh, Derozio is studying for exams. We shouldn't bother him with this. I have other suggestions, but they already hosted before.
I didn't mean for that to offensive. I'll help create the thread, but I don't know where to start. I'll also write up how the new past-winner features would work if you don't want to. That is true; it would be nice if there is an official date, however. Don't worry about it. =) You're not doing this alone, eh? -
April 8th, 2010 1:30 PMJordanTch, nobody helped me when it was my turn to be co-host. >:/ You mean the former, right? BinaryPeaches is a girl. :P But it doesn't have to be just the winners of the previous contest. I asked Roswell to cohost with me and she was a winner from a long time ago. Really, anyone can host it as far as I know.
That's not entirely true. >:[ I do have things to tend to like every other teenager, but just not as much as my friends who always seem to have something to do. I know it's a joke and all, but I can't, since there will be others who would like to host it. I'm willing to be the fall person if no one volunteers, though. I haven't changed anything in the past few days. o3o;
There are several ways to approach the ballot counting. I just did it on excel because it was more convenient for me to check a second and third time. As far as I know, it just happens whenever someone feels like hosting it at this point. o3o; We're all young people who are bad with schedules, so I think it's better to just take it at our own pace.
I'll try to have the stuff done on Friday night and the thread up on Saturday or Sunday. Not a guarantee, though; we'll have to see how much work I get tomorrow. -
April 8th, 2010 12:34 PMBHwolfgangActually, this is my first time being co-host, so I would need as much help as I can get. I was about to suggest Derozio or BinaryPeaches, but both are busy. To be honest, I have not seen the latter in a while. What happened to him?
Yes, you have nothing to do, so host it like the good member you are. Seriously, you should be a permanent host. 8D; [/shot] ... Did you change the background color for your primary content areas or something? It became a lot more blue.
That sounds like a good idea. I was about to use a piece of paper and put down a mark under member when someone chose him or her. I hope that this would be as active as the last one.
Coolio, I actually have some powers in this. o3o I also suggest that the Prettiest Profile Contest should be a seasonal thing. This would make it more easier to follow and gives a member almost three months to prepare. -
April 8th, 2010 12:07 PMJordanPretty much, I guess. I think people are getting tired of me being involved since I counted the ballots in the last one and won the non-supporter class contest before that. OTL But you and NEETo should have put at least some effort into scouting for potential hosts instead of just dumping it on me. >:/
Then again, it's not like I'm busy or anything. ;3;
For counting, what I did was I used Microsoft Excel and set up two simple data tables (one for supporter and one for non-supporter) with names of participants on the first column, and whenever they gain a vote, I fill in the next column with a color. I also set up a third data table for voters, and whenever I counted someone's vote, I put a V in the column next to his/her name. It may sound complicated, but it's really a simple process. You also hold the right to bother people to vote if it's late enough in the competition and they haven't issued their ballots yet. -
April 8th, 2010 5:25 AMBHwolfgangSo, I'm guessing that you're the host?
To be honest, I have absolutely no idea about what to do at all. Do I just sit quietly and count up the votings at the end? -
April 7th, 2010 1:16 PMBHwolfgangI still think that Tahoma is one of the best fonts out there. Hm, and there's also Calibri......
-
April 7th, 2010 1:14 PMJordanYes, really. Not as good looking as Tahoma or Verdana, but nonetheless it works.
-
April 7th, 2010 12:49 PMBHwolfgangI wouldn't as well, but it's more of a personal preference.
Oh, really? -
April 7th, 2010 12:43 PMJordanI have never lowered anyone's profile score because they used Comic Sans MS. In fact, I used it once myself, so that would be hypocritical of me to do so. I don't really care about fonts; it's the colors that really matter in profiles.
Why are you against Georgia? It's a nice looking font, honestly. -
April 7th, 2010 10:31 AMBHwolfgangDon't act like you weren't a part of that Comic Sans MS hating thread. :<
Why are you so supportive for Georgia? Come on me side; we have free rice. -
April 6th, 2010 7:06 PMJordanAwww, so criticism now goes into the fonts as well? Why do people discriminate against preferences on how text looks so much? :<
And Georgia can be whatever it wants to be, don't be a fascist. >:O -
April 5th, 2010 6:37 PMBHwolfgangNo, you do it. o3o'
I prefer fonts that are straight, and not this.
I used to like this font. However, I found better ones. It should only belong in comic sketches, though.
This belongs on newspaper, and not on profile.
Georgia is a state, not a font. -
April 5th, 2010 11:49 AMJordan*poke* Go tell Netto that. He's the guy in charge now. o3o;
What's wrong with Georgia, Courier New, Times New Roman, or Comic Sans MS? Explain in details, please. -
April 5th, 2010 9:29 AMBHwolfgangWell, my suggestion is still open. It would still be nice to have one involving only past winners. If not, then I would love to host or be the one receiving the votes. I have nothing else to do, anyways.
UGH. As long as it's not Georgia, Courier New, New Times Roman, or Comic Sans MS, I would tolerate it. -
April 5th, 2010 6:43 AMJordanYour font Nazism is showing. >:[
"There's nothing new under the sun" as the saying goes. I think I will; I really don't want to take anymore time making another scheme. So you think this would be deserving of winning a PC's PPC? Speaking of which, discussion about the next one has been going around again.
