April 23rd, 2009 1:18 PMdream's-epilogueI'm off now, so if you want to Brawl, let me know.
I may be upstairs, so don't be alarmed if I take 15 or 20 minutes to reply. I'll check as often as I can. -
April 23rd, 2009 7:55 AMdream's-epilogueHmm...I know what you're talking about, but I've never heard of it happening for days on end like that.
Crap, I've only got 5 more minutes of class, and I don't think I'll be able to get back on until I get home.
If you don't hear from me, talk to you after school. -
April 23rd, 2009 7:52 AMAmaruukI'm not sure what to call it, I think dry-eye, but my eyes are really sensitive and get irritated easily, and when they do they get gunk in them that's like the 'sleep in your eye' you get when you wake up, except it's bothersome and uncomfortable. I have eye drops, but they don't really help at all.
Most of the time it happens at night when I stay up too late, but like what it's doing now, it can just persist for days on end.

April 23rd, 2009 7:33 AMdream's-epilogueBy the way, sorry if it sounds like prying, but what's wrong with your eye?
-
April 23rd, 2009 7:32 AMAmaruukOh, I'll still be on. The question is whether my neighbors/left eye will be merciful at that time. Here's hoping so! :3

April 23rd, 2009 7:29 AMdream's-epilogueTrapped in school right now. I think I'm supoosed to be typing an essay, ro doing research or something.
Anyway, I get off at 3:15, but knowing my mother, I won't get home until around 4-4:30.
If you're still on then, we can Brawl for awhile. -
April 23rd, 2009 7:26 AMAmaruukWell, considering I just got up a bit ago, I'm not doing anything yet really. Today feels like it'll be really fun, though. :3

April 23rd, 2009 7:19 AMdream's-epilogueHi, havng fun doing, uh, whatever you're doing?
-
April 22nd, 2009 8:03 PMAmaruukI have no idea. Part of why that noise is irritating is that I can't figure out what it's actually from. It doesn't sound like thumping music or anything else that I can identify.
-
April 22nd, 2009 7:57 PMdream's-epilogueOf, course, even I have my limits. I'd much rather not have to listen to that blaring noise if at all possible.
I forgot to mention, I live near the highway, in a poorly-noise-insulated house. When I first moved in, any motorcycle (GOD i hate those things!) or big semi that drove by would wake me up during the night.
I guess after living with that for two years, I can jsut tune it out.
Also, what the hell is your neighbor doing to make noise like that?
Late. TTYT, K? -
April 22nd, 2009 7:53 PMAmaruukUnfortunately for me, noise pollution is just something that's impossible for me to tune out. Even if I play music or something else with sound to drown it out, my mind will still focus on the irritating noise. I'm having to leave the house more often because it's hard to relax or do my work in my own apartment with the noise. It happens at least once every single day.
I know what you mean about poor insulation. Any noise that's outside, even like, 100 feet away sounds like it's coming from the next room, clear as a bell. That's not really as much of a problem as the odd pulsing, whirring, low-frequency noise that's coming through my neighbor's wall on a daily basis. The low pitch of the sound is what makes it tough to drown out without blasting my heavier music through my headphones.
God, I was so glad when I got my license. One thing that's just as annoying as noise is having my whereabouts entirely dependent upon other people. My dad used to make us go to relative's places all the time 'just to say hi' but then we had to stay so much longer, often until nightfall. He'd get irritated when I'd tell him I wanted to leave, but once I could drive myself, I didn't have to deal with long visits or forcing my dad to leave sooner than he wanted to.

April 22nd, 2009 7:30 PMdream's-epilogueAh, it's alright.
You know, my brother started a "band" recently. They play in our basement, and unfortunately, our floors aren't well-insulated.
So, I can hear them banging on drums and guitars from every room of the house, as clearly as if I were down there with them.
I guess after a while, you just learn to tune that stuff out.
Though fortunately (for me, not him) the band kicked him out recently, so I won't have to put up with it anymore; at least until they take him back.
I don't have a car/license yet, because I'm not "responsible" enough. As a result, I'm completely dependant on my mother to pick me up from school at 3:30 every day (assuming she doesn't forget, as she does sometimes), and I'm bound to whatever errands she has to run after picking me up. Sometimes, I don't get home until 6 or 7 in the evening.
BUT, I'm getting a license this summer, so no more of that!
More often than not, I'm on PC here when I get home, so if you see me on, just give me a holler!
PS: Sometimes I'm on at the laptop at my Grandparent's, which means no Wii access. -
April 22nd, 2009 7:04 PMAmaruukGah. I'm sorry. I would have gotten on Brawl earlier when I finished my drawing, but my neighbors were being loud again and there's no way I would have been able to concentrate/enjoy playing since I can't put my headphones into my TV set. They're quiet now, but my eye's bothering me again. I'm trying to ask my friend what I should do about the noise, so at least that won't be an issue (I hope).
My eye's less likely to be a bother during the day, so if you're on tomorrow during the daytime, I'll be happy to play. I'm sorry so many things are getting in the way. I wish I could play more, since I'd just started getting the hang of it when all this stuff came up.

April 22nd, 2009 6:41 PMdream's-epilogueI'm bored. Wanna brawl?
-
April 22nd, 2009 4:55 PMdream's-epilogueAlright, PM or VM me when you're ready.
I just finished brawling with Lily, and I beat her the first two games, once with Pika, then with Snake.
